You've got it. It's a security breach, but the one-note media is spinning it as a "terrorist attack".Unfortunately the military appears to be spinning it as a "terrorist attack" as well, rather than admit that proper security wasn't in place. I can't believe that the same people who threw these grenades were serving water and food to the troops. I know there are not that many in the military that were around during Vietname these days, but there is no way this kind of stuff should have forgotten.

Fred Barnes just said "heads should roll for this." I would agree.

In other words, he had already hung up his phone/or CNN had already switched to the other feed.
To: Wormwood
I'd go with "war criminals," assuming they didn't manage to waltz into this camp wearing enemy unimform and bearing arms openly.

What concerns me is what was Saddam developing that our intel. couldn't find out about.
There is also the matter of Tuwaitha and whether or not nukes were built there. If Tierney the inspector is correct that Iraq has nine nukes, the concern I have is that our troops will be drawn into Baghdad for a final mindless act by the Iraqis.
On another note, may Jack Chirac rot in hell.

Ashleigh Banfield of MSNBC has been outside Ft. Campbell all day with loved ones in a show of support rally. It breaks your heart listening to her talk to the young wives and girlfriends. Banfield said many of the home folks there are upset with all the anti-war demonstrators around the country.

Yup. I say we were lucky. But careless in base security is inexcusable. Laxness deserves to punished with a court-martial.

ABC News is notorius for either refusing to promote or finding imaginative reasons to dismiss people who are conservative. As far as I'm concerned, they're nothing more than a mouthpiece for the DNC. I *never* tune into them--it's not "news", it's Marxist propaganda.

Agreed.

...FNC reporting they were either acting as or actually were translators! I'm not surprised. I'm a translator (not of Arabic) and I was at a translation conference in January where an Egyptian translator who had worked at the first WTC bombing trial virtually boasted that he had done everything possible to assist the terrorist sheik who was on trial. Most translators of Arab languages are foreign born, and they are not to be trusted.

he is pulling us into baghdad for something It definitely is eerily easy to roll on through Iraq as the troops are. But I'm certain that all the troops out there are aware of the possibility that something will hit them at any time. Of course, complacency may inadvertently set in after a few days of very little opposition.
But if SH and his rotten sons are incapacitated, then it's less likely that there will be much in the way of coordinated attacks on the coalition forces. Let's hope we can knock some sense into the Iraqi generals' heads with the bombing tonight.

They never met any anti-American type they have schmoozed with.
If you like sposions, CNN has some good video going now

Oh Geez. Yeah, he's pulling us into Baghdad for something. Otherwise, he'd be giving us a helluva fight. (/sarcasm) Don't you remember the first Gulf War? My goodness.
To: ItisaReligionofPeace
Yes. They were referring to those all the way back to Oct. This was the first one in Kuwait since the war started. Need to tighten things up.

A terrorist attack in northern Kuwait has left 10 American soldiers wounded. The attack occurred at Camp Pennsylvania near the Iraqi border.
Jim Lacey of Time Magazine is reporting that at least 10 have been wounded during a terror attack on a U.S. camp in northern Kuwait. At this point, it appears two grenades were rolled into leadership tents.
Lacey said that six of the men were injured seriously. As he spoke with CNN, gunfire could be heard in the background before the line went dead.
U.S. military officials are reporting that some troops were wounded after the camp of the 101st Airborne Division was attacked with grenades and small arms fire.
The 101st Airborne Division, also known as the Screaming Eagles, are equipped with a fleet of Apache and Black Hawk helicopters. Most of the division has already entered Iraq.
Four other American soldiers were wounded in central Iraq hours earlier. A reporter from Britain's Sky TV said the reconnaissance scouts were ambushed while driving Humvee jeeps at the head of the column.

CBS just broke in with furter information. A couple men threw grenades into two ofiicers tents and "shots rang out as the officers tried to leave their tents." Most wounds from the gunfire. No deaths reported but men were wounded.
