...FNC reporting they were either acting as or actually were translators!

I'm not surprised. I'm a translator (not of Arabic) and I was at a translation conference in January where an Egyptian translator who had worked at the first WTC bombing trial virtually boasted that he had done everything possible to assist the terrorist sheik who was on trial. Most translators of Arab languages are foreign born, and they are not to be trusted.

It would be better for Sephardic Jews and Coptic Christians to do the Arabic translations. Jihadists are no friends of theirs.

why couldn't we have israelis who know arabic for our translators?

goodness, we need to fundamentally understand who we are dealing with. i recently read a reporter's diary from incirlick airbase in turkey and he talked about local turks doing menial labor such as lawn work. Isn't it darn easy for them to get sleepers in that way. we need to change how we do business.
