To: Postmaster General, United States Post Office In has been brought to our attention that the United States postal service has decided to discontinue production of the EID stamp for the upcoming holiday season of 2002. The Eid stamp commemorates two of the most important holidays in Islam; Eid Al-Adha and Eid Al-Fitr.
By discontinuing the EID stamp for the 2003 holiday season, the USPS is neglecting America's six million Muslims.
We call on the Unites States Post Office to include the Eid stamp with its Holiday Celebrations Series that pays tribute to Muslims in America
Sincerely,
The Undersigned
Quite frankly I am appalled.
Ten days after these same people were first "honored" by the stamp, these very same honorees chose to murder several thousand humans in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania? Subsequently the powers-that-be have decided to re-issue that honor! Why do they have to re-issue? They should've sold like hot-cakes after 9-11. It was in November 1999, that Representatives Dana Rohrabacher, California, and Thomas M. Davis, Virginia, introduced legislation that a U.S. postage stamp should be issued recognizing the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. Guess what party affiliation they have? I've requested Comrades Stab-me-now and Levin introduce legislation for a stamp honoring the Christian martyrs at the Battle of Vienna--September 11th, 1683. with the motto: DEUS VULT! But as usual, they just ignore what I'm sure must be their favorite constituent. Guess what political affiliation these Congress-critters have? Guess how they voted with regards to the Islam commemoration stamp issuance? I've yet to hear about my request for a commemorative stamp honoring the first wholesale eradication of the Muslim scourge from Spain and the West as signified by their surrender to King and Queen Ferdinand and Isabella at Granada in 1492, bringing an end to 800 years of Muslim rule. The result being that even the Jews were expelled from the country setting the stage for a solid establishment of Christianity that is unshaken to this day. The significance being, that without an end to the conflict there were no resources available to finance Columbus' voyage.
Remember, Islam is a religion of peace. Anybody that disagrees is a rabid radical right-wing cultural imperialist zealot whose mind can't embrace true multi-cultural diversity or alternative lifestyles but their own and insist that their views are imposed on everybody else. Hey, 20% of the population is homosexual (they just don't know it); there's a 1 in 5 chance you don't know your sexual orientation. At least that's the kind of drivel that the liberal's try to feed me. Hey, there are stamps that commemorate a communist christmas (Kwanzaa) for blacks, Hanukah for Jews, Cinco-de-Mayo for the illegals, Christmas for the pagans and now EID for a religion of peace. There will never be an Easter stamp because that's too controversial.
If one examines the calligraphy on the EID stamp closely, one should notice that it is exactly what I suggested: a stylized rendering of the second World Trade Tower Center tower being hit by a fully fueled and populated jumbo-jet . The sylized Twin Towers in the middle are represented by the two vertical strokes. The swirly strokes to the side represent the debris and smoke of the falling towers. Unfortunately the stamp doesn't capture the true essence of the event: the poor souls who had to jump out of the windows of the Twin Towers on 9/11 in order to escape being burned to death. I still remember watching their plunge on TV, punctuated with the sounds of their bodies hitting the sidewalks. I can still hear that like it just happened. That very sound comes to me when I watch the anti-war demonstrators.
Be not dismayed, for the benevolent 'Arab stamp design' committee with members from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Pakistan are soon to release their suggestion for a new stamp which celebrates the birth of Christ. It should be available just in time for the Christmas season.
Right before they raised the price of stamps, postal workers were pushing these stamps on unsuspecting customers. They were asking people if they wanted a few stamps to hold them over until the new stamps came out and then they would hand these stamps to the customers. Most people had no idea what they were. This happened to a few people I know and one friend made a big stink in the post office and another lady handed the stamps back after my friend made a scene. Most people had no idea about these offensive stamps. The government is losing money on them and they are trying to unload them on uninformed Americans who would not doubt find this stamp truly offensive. Aside from the fact that most Americans are too apathetic to pay attention to the legislation their legislators are voting on,and when they are shocked at what they have done they have no clue to whom to complain to.

VENT YOUR SPLEEN TO YOUR COMRADE CONGRESS-CRITTERS
Umm, hate to tell you Dana is a CA (R).
Regardless of the partly label, he nevertheless represents the People's Democratic Republic of the Left Coast District of KaliforNia. Methinks RINO just doesn't describe the stench I smell. Tell me, how does he compare to Ron Paul or The Hammer?
VENT YOUR SPLEEN TO YOUR COMRADE CONGRESS-CRITTERS HERE!!!!!!
Your reply to me is bizzare and off point, regardless of your sarcasm tag.
I'm sorry if I've offended you somehow.
I understand that we aren't a democracy, but a democratic constitutionally limited republic, but our congress-critters keep telling us we're a democracy. So I think that this mob should tell them where to go, and they have to listen, right?
Is it OK to be Jewish in America?
How often does one have to go to Church services to be counted as one of "us?"
