No I didn't know his party affiliation actually. Based on the press reports about the matter, the party affiliation was not mentioned. The liberal media usually does that to obfuscate just that issue. Usually Republican party is prominently noted, along with adjectives such as
conservative, right-wing, etc. So I'm guilty of making an assumption.
