For the third Saturday in a row, hardy but battle-weary members of The DC Chapter rallied to the defense of our country. On this day our duty was to counter the Communist WWP and ISO organized and funded "peace march."
DC Chapter members and lurkers in good standing began arriving quite early in the day; W04man being the first man on-scene, if I remember correctly. (Somebody please correct me if my memory is not right)
The rally was announced as beginning at 1pm, and by that time our corner was already well-populated with a dozen or more highly motivated Americans ready to unfurl their flags, wave their signs and cheer for the USA!
The US Park Police captain (I think that was his rank) checked in with Kristinn, and some logistical items were discussed. The captain had worked with us at our very first Patriots Rally for America, way back on April 20, 2002.
It seems like such a long time ago that we began this effort to show support for our troops and our President; and still the battle continues...
To everybody who was standing with us yesterday: please take over on the written part of this report. I'm still linking photos, but I knew that many folks have been waiting patiently for photos and an after-action report.

"End Racism, Not War"
There's a disconnect here, but I'll leave that to greater minds than my own.

Draft SUV DriversWindmills NOT Warheads
LOL!
On some of the signs (via your links), they sure love using the "f" word.
Where do they come up with this stuff.

Granted, I'm biased, but why does it seem that while our rallies feature mostly clean, smiling, and generally attractive individuals, the lefty protesters are nearly all fat, doofy, sour-pussed misfits? Has anyone else noticed this?

And THANK YOU, basil, for all the help you have given us. Your support, and the support of generous FReepers all across the US means so much to the DC Chapter.
Words of encouragement from you and others keep us going in the face of such anti-America foes as we've seen repeatedly in DC since our first "Infinite FReep" rally on September 29, 2001.
And it was the kind words and support of FReepers back then that led us to begin organizing our rallies as a patriotic counter to the leftist marches. Little did we know on 9/29/2001 that we would still have to be doing this today. But we couldn't let the left's lies go unchallenged. We couldn't let the leftists do to America what it did during Vietnam. So here we are, still standing strong.
Thank you, basil. We love you.

I am so ashamed of the big Florida sign!
Wish I had been there to show the other side!

Wow, a big loud clear "Jim Moran is Right" anti-semetic sign in the crowd. Thanks for sharing -- those are the kinds of signs that never show up on cable news and it's good to know they were out there.

oh my gosh, that the guy in the upper right in the "We Are All Palestians" photo (great photo title! -- a wiseacre reference to a lady you once found in a t-shirt that actually said that!) is so familiar looking. That guy in the upper right is, for all the world, remarkably similar in looks to Adam Cohen, former member of the ACLU, graduate of Harvard Law, and currently on the editorial board of the New York Times. He's also at least ethnically Jewish.
Well, I can't *prove* he's the one and the same as the editorial writer for the NY Times, but you can rest assured that the NY Times was there in "spirit" if not in person. That much I pretty much can prove.

I remember the marches in DC in 98 - this brings back such good memories thanks:)
was that Dr. Raoul I saw in some of the W04's pix? If so please tell him an old Texas friend says hello.
thanks

Yup, Doctor Raoul's in some Abner's screen shot stills. He was on Fox News national too.
