Prayer List of Our Troops
Several of us who have been meeting on the Yellow Rose of Texas prayer threads have been discussing the need that we have for a prayer thread devoted to our troops. Freepers can post names and pictures of their loved ones in the armed services here. We can post our prayers and best wishes for them and their families here in a central place.
We are in the beginning stages of planning the thread. Please, if you have a loved one, post his/her name or pseudonym below, along with a picture, if you wish, so that we can begin work.
Please ping your friends to this thread. We are trolling for names of our troops to pray for.
Thank you for your gracious and immediate response!

My cousins' son, Steve Jr.
Steve Jr, is a young man,
early 20's with a 6 year old son.
Going through a divorce as well.
His little boy is taking this separation hard.
But, at Christmas time, just before deployment,
Steve Jr. wasn't down. He loves his country.
And wants the best for his own Child.
God Bless Our Troops!!

Good morning. WoW! Has this list grown or what? We will need all the prayer warriors we can get. I am going to copy and paste these names on a document and send to some of my prayer warrior friends who are not FR visitors (that I know of). As I am going through all of these inputs and reading names, it hit me that another advantage of this thread is that one cannot come here, read these names, and not realize a more personal connection simply because next to the names are those who they are related to. So you see that they are someone's son, daughter, husband, wife, father, mother, sister, brother, etc. Even though we may not know each screen name personally, it touches your world more directly.

I'm thinking(and no one is more shocked than me when this happens!!) that in addition to a "general prayer" it would be good to pick one or two people for special prayer.

Bumping for names...
To: Valin
I agree with that. That is what I am going to do. Go each day and select a name or two and pray for those individuals on that day. Rotate on the list. As, well as lift up all the military and our allied military.

Here's a huge gratitude-from-my-heart bump to all freepers posting and lurking here! I'm limited in my online time today, but hope to be able to work on this more tomorrow or next day.
Our Father in Heaven,
WE give gratitude for you calling us together to pray for one another and our young people here in this forum. We are grateful for these precious young people named here, and those who are not known to us who are so willing to serve this day, no matter where they are posted.
We call for their safety and security and above all, their victorious return according to thy will and timing.
Father, continue surrounding our President in our prayers for him. We do lift him up to you and beseech you to guide him with your wisdom. Inasmuch as we share the accountability with him for what our nation does because we elected him, we ask that you will grant him extraordinary insight into what your timing and Plan are for the unfolding of these events as he contemplates the decisions before him.
Freepers on this thread have been singing together the words for one of our national hymns, and we sing loudly, proudly, and fervently the final words to that hymn:
GOD BLESS AMERICA, MY HOME SWEET HOME!
GOD BLESS AMERICA, MY HOME SWEET HOME!
Amen
