Today's Ari Fleischer Press Briefing: WHERE WAS HELEN?
The White House
| March 7, 2003
Posted on 03/07/2003 12:08:36 PM PST by Dont Mention the War
So several reporters (especially the WorldNetDaily loon, of all people) demanded to know why Queen Helen was not allowed to spew last night, and Ari gave the exact, factual answer: They were looking for REPORTERS last night, not columnists.
But more importantly, Ari himself did not call on The Old Hag today! Was he intentionally snubbing her? Or did she stay home and pout like a little girl instead of coming in to work today?

I am very afraid that last night may have impacted her in a very bad way......You're a better person than I - I LOVE that she was finally served a tiny sliver of what she has been serving.

She was only a reporter, not the enemy dasshole is, (who I must say, I would not miss.) She is NOT a reporter, she is a columnist. She was a reporter until she quit UPI when it was bought by the folks who own the Washington Times. She quit in protest and was hired by Hearst as a columnist. Columnists are opinionated and do not belong in a room with reporters.

Maybe she's the offspring of that old socialist, Norman Thomas.
I think Helen goes home every evening to her room at the Bates Motel where she sits in that chair all night attracting more and more cobwebs.

...not the enemy dasshole is, (who I must say, I would not miss.)Did you see him having a coniption fit last night. There was a vein in his forehead as thick as my thumb that was visibly pulsating. I fully expected it to burst any minute.
On the other hand, Bill Frist was cool as a cucumber.
FWIW, I don't feel sorry for Helen Thomas at all. She made her bed. What does she expect annnouncing that GW is the worst president in the entire history of the USA -- a bouquet of roses? If she'd said something like that about Bill, Hillary would have unceremoniously destroyed her.
To: Mean Maryjean
Yeah, I caught that too. I wasn't sure at the time if that was Ari. I figure GWB was in a hostile environment and needed some friendly support. God Bless them both!

Les is Les Kinsolving. He made a name for himself on Baltimore radio as a raging crackpot. He sits in from time to time for Michael Savage. Enough? That's all that needs to be said.

Where was she? I heard she had her knee pads attached and was hanging out with her new star of TV, Bubba, the most handsome man in the world, in her words.

I think that the far left that dominates the democRAT party has let the old fart go.
She's totally lost it and she pukes bile and venom everytime she talks to the press or the President or Ari. She has gone completely psycotic, and the left knows it. Notice, that when a "fellow traveler" goes off the deep end the left abandons them, quickly and hard. Helen will be retiring very soon, mark my words. Hillary will give her an interview every year, but that will be it for Helen.
Helen has gone too far, and the left knows it. They will not fight for the old fossel because it wouldn't look good. She is being slowly let out to pasture.
I would be willing to bet that this was ordered by McAwful and the Clintons. Helen is no longer of use because Helen is distasteful to about 80% of Americans. She is not credible, and she is fast becoming a disgrace to the left. She'll be given a small pention and 50 cats to take care of, but the left doesn't want her out of her apartment writing prose.
To me, I could care less what happens to her. I'm a conservative, all she ever did for me was to push me to research her lies, and I found the truth. Well Helen, thanks for that. Now go to your apartment and re-read all the columns you ever wrote and feed those damn cats.

Very true. Her column gets published from time to time in our local paper and it is nothing more than a Bush bashing festival.
Hmmm... maybe she's a freeper. ;)

I actually loather her 'reporting' because it isn't reporting. It's biased political opinion, which is solely hers.
That said, I feel sorry for her. To be her age and to be that bitter is very sorry. I hope she can find peace- but she'll never find it in the profession she's in.

Your compassion is worthy of a Conservative. Ms. Thomas is deserving of our pity simply because she is a human-being. Although I did get a chuckle from some of the jokes. :)Your comment brings to mind the nastiness of the Democrats who forced Strom Thurmond to stay in the Senate when they were doing something at night a few years back (which escapes me at the moment).
One Democratic Senator asked to leave so that Strom could also leave without disturbing the balance of votes between Democrats and Republicans.
Hillary and Daschle(?) did not allow the Democratic Senator to go.
It seemed like a plot from some old mystery movie: Kill the aging senator by making him work too hard.
I think the Bush administration has been much kinder to Helen. If her feelings are badly hurt, it is probably due to her insistence on having the world revolve around her.

"I was thrilled that Helen T was not allowed to disrespect the president in front of the world last night."
I was too. She needs to have more respect for the President of the United States. Who the hell does she think she is spouting off some hateful commentary, thinly veiled as a question.
If she continues to get snubbed her employer will either tell her to tone it down so their service can get a question in, or they will replace her.
