At the lunchtime rally in Nashville, some liberal pukes thought they would try to intimidate me as is stood on the curb holding my "FREE IRAQ" sign by edging close to the curb (I didn't move). As they went by, they attempted a "drive-by insult" and called me a fag.
What they didn't realize is that two car lengths ahead was a car stopped at a red traffic light so they had to stop, too. I ran up to the car and said, "You want to say that again?" and of course they didn't so I said, "I didn't think so, $#%*head" and walked off.

Who's going to be at the Florida, US19 and SR50 rally? It's just up the road from me and it'll be good to meet some Freepers.

Is fag the best they can come up with? ;-) Here's the rally I'm doing:
I hope you will join us on Saturday, March 8 at 11:30 outside the Baldwin County Courthouse for the Rally for America to support our troops, the President and our country. With so many voices at home and abroad running down this nation, I felt it was important that some of us stand up for the pride we feel in this, the greatest nation in the world's history. I believe the Bush Administration's efforts in Iraq will further the security of our nation and that of our allies; I believe removing Saddam Hussein from power will liberate the people of Iraq and bring about the possibility for a shining example of American democracy in the Middle East; and I believe that the majority of Americans share those views. With former presidents, Hollywood actors, and human shields going to other nations and raising voices against this country, it is necessary for those of us who differ from their point of view to be heard. Heads of foreign nations and the United Nations itself are opposing us at every turn - all the while Iraqi citizens are tortured and killed and Iraqi soldiers are making and hiding white flags, preparing for their surrender, because they will not fight for the evil dictator ruling their land. If you support your country, the liberation of Iraq and - most of all - the soldiers willing to stand between us and tyranny, I hope you will join me Saturday so that the world can see that at least here in Middle Georgia we still believe that liberty is a right given by the Creator to mankind not to be taken from them by the likes of Saddam Hussein. This is not planned as a partisan rally - I have invited Republicans and Democrats alike to speak. Already scheduled to speak are State Rep. Ken Birdsong - an active supporter of Georgia's veterans; Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills; Baldwin County Sheriff Bill Massee and Col. Lovett Briggs (ret.), a Georgia Military College graduate, veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, member of The Old Capitol Area Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America, and a strong supporter of the welfare of veterans. If you have suggestions for other speakers or would like to help organize the rally, please feel free to call me: xxx-xxx-xxxx during the day or xxx-xxx-xxxx nights and weekends. Thank you, and God Bless America! name removed!
Come one come all! I got music, I got a color guard, I got a band playing the national anthem, I got musicians, I got flags to hand out, I got red white and blue balloons! If anyone wants to come, freepmail me and I'll give directions!

As a vet, I could never on God's earth dream of going to a rally that would "cheer" for a war. To me that would be is beyond absurd. I might enlist to help my country and brothers and sisters.
The "Free Iraq" angle is a huge pile of bulls**t, and was from day one. That was never our motivation and everyone knows it.
If this is about supporting our troops, I'm fine with it I suppose. That said ,I think people that cheer for wars like this is some kind of superbowl are a$$holes.

I would have certainly cheered for WWII. I cheer doing the right thing.
This may not be all about "Free Iraq" - But our Foreign policy (and our very existence) is built on the premise that Freedom (Democratic Republics) are best for everyone and good for U.S.
It only makes sense that by freeing Iraq, dis-arming Iraq, nurturing a republic in Iraq we (and the world) will benefit.
Or we could let Hitler go..... I mean Saddam.

If there had been a demonstration in Summer 1976 calling for the US to go in and level downtown Pnomn Penh (it was only occupied by Khmer Rouge leadership and all civilians were evacuated to the countryside for the 'killing fields'--hence no risk of collateral damage) then I would certainly carry a sign urging
WAR on Pol Pot of Cambodia in an effort to liberate the people there.
Nobody in the US ever did that in '75, '76, '77, or '78....and as a result, several million died.
(And I don't think I would have been an a**hole as a result!)

Do you mean 'about the Seoul demonstration'? Yes, it is true.
Believe it or not, it is going to happen in less than 12 hours. I don't know if they will get the million, though, but there will be a HUGE crowd in support of the United States and expressing appreciation for the protection our troops provide them against North Korea.
