I can't believe Hannity is allowing Col Hackworth (Ret) to run down the Active Duty Military again. Talking about some devective "protective gear", if you get my drift. Why would he continue to spew out all this crap that will be swollowed up by our enemies? Why doesn't Hannity get the story from the Active Duty people? If there really is a problem, why give the info to our enemy?????

Hack is very tight with General Shinseki........of chinese beret fame.....remember him! That's the kind of 'insider' information that Hack has...........in other words, the word of a a$$.

Wasn't it Hackworth that made a big deal about Admiral Borda wearing a certain medal. Later they said Borda was entitled to the medal.

There's something about Hackworth that I don't trust and his hair style is a definite turn off. All those pointy little bangs.

I believe that Hack was a good man at one time, he is a little bitter sounding now.I believe it's a bit more than simple bitterness. "Outrageous" makes news and gets face-time on TV. The plain truth has somehow become an unmarketable commodity in our society. For example, on another thread it's discussed that John "I ain't never seen a TV camera I didn't like" McCain's rants about GW is the lead story on all the Alphabet-Soup's newscasts but when he says North Korea is Pee Wee Clinton's biggest failure as President it's like the tree falling in the middle of a forest . . . not seen, not heard, as if it never happened.
Hackworth needs the glow of TV lights to feel important again and he'll say whatever it takes to draw them his way. Like moths are drawn to a solitary light, he knows he has to stand out from the crowd to garner attention.
I find that sad. You're right, he was a good man at one time.

Hackworth or Hannity are not my concern, though it may be yours.
My concern is the mother of two kids, one male, one female who have been sent to the theater of war AND THEIR CHEM-BIO SUITS ARE DEFECTIVE! What was done to "fix" them was masking tape. How does one console her when she knows Vets and families of Vets from the last Bush war in the Gulf who have died of the sicknesses they got as a result of the use of chemical and biological elements and the DU used.
The news has already reported that depleted uranium ammo will be used and there is nothing to guard against that. It is obvious that we need to test our biologicals and weapons of destruction and we need a war to do it.

It never ceases to amaze me that people we would extol the virtues of during the Clinton*ack**ack* years we now tear apart if the stray from the party line even a little bit.
So we're tossing Col. Hackworth overboard? Who's next? Sounds like we may be lining up to give ole Sean a helping hand over the side.

"He earned his UN medal for opposing President Reagan's defense policy while he was on foreign soil. Since Reagan's defense policy won the Cold War, it makes me wonder which side he is on."
I didn't know this. Thanks for the information. I thought he supported the common soldier until I've listened to him lately.

There's something about Hackworth that I don't trust... Likewise. He impresses me as a petty man with an axe to grind.

You are either a good friend and defender of Alan Colmes or don't listen to the same show that the rest of us do.

If you get through to his show...Get a plug for Free Republic in there somewhere! He has plenty of listeners and a plug couldn't hurt..."If people want to find out more, tell them go to Freerepublic.com", etc etc Make it quick, so he doesn't think you will be plugging your personal website. Another way to do it is to send him something cool...an interesting picture or new article...I dunno. Think of something!;)...just let him know you're a freeper!

I hope your comments are accurate, or you are just doing the same thing that Hack is doing. Yet again, I hope your assertions are wrong. I don't know if they are correct or not. I also have a nephew being deployed, but he is not a foot soldier, he's in the Navy.
depleted uranium ammo will be used
hummmm...... Where did you hear that?

I had the same impression that he stood up for the common soldier so you weren't going crazy. I do however take a lot of umbrage with his currsnt dissing of my fellow soldiers already over there in Iraq. If there are problems with getting masks sealed, then either the unit NBC NCO's are not doing proper training with the troops and are not taking care of the masks or these kids were pencil whipped through NBC training in basic (which wouldn't surprise me). Why Hack has suddenly taken such a left turn is beyond me. If anyone wants to ask him what's happened to make him go against us, his e-mail is

This is old news. The 30 mm shells in the A-10 chain gun is made of the stuff as is the sabot rounds used by the Abrahams tanks.

Claiming that Hannity is a "butt boy for FNC and Disney" doesn't sound like comments from someone who has a favorable opinion of Sean Hannity.

Col. Hackworth made some tremendous contributions in the past . However , Col. Hackworth is not in the loop as has been alledged on threads here in the past .
I wont disrespect him . I do live in the real world so I tend to have other sources of information . Dont worry so much over this . Frankly I believe the man feels like he came up short in his life & is simply lashing about .
I find it more sad than anything else ..

It never ceases to amaze me that people we would extol the virtues of during the Clinton*ack**ack* years Hackworth made a name for himself by claiming falsely Admiral Boorda did not earn the "V" device on his Vietnam Service ribbon. Boorda seved on a warship in the unfiendly waters off the coast of Vietnam during war time while conducting combat operations. Boorda earned the right to wear the "V' device and the Chief of Naval Operations at the time of Boorda's Vietnam service confirmed the fact. Yet this weasel Hackworth never retracted the lie and the lie was used as reason for Boorda's suicide.
For what it's worth,it's been reported that medical personnel that examined Boorda's body after his death found two bullet holes in his chest.
