[history]
Something strange happened during the 2000 Gore-Bush election fiasco you may have missed.
CNN, which was running 24-hour special election coverage, hosted a program with conservative columnist Bob Novak shortly after the disputed election results were returned. Novak was adamant that Al Gore should quit trying to steal the election and concede. To bolster his point, he brought up the results of CNN.com's public-opinion poll "Should Al Gore concede?" Poll results showed that a full 89 percent of the thousands of people who had visited CNN.com and voted had agreed -- Gore should give up the ghost.

I take this opportunity now to state for the record that I have never once posted a single word on FreeRepublic. Maybe not .. but by the looks of this article, it would seem Mr. Pitt spends a lot more time Freeping on FR then some of us Freepers .. *L*

Pitt just admited to me he wrote the story and that the sf writer joyce re wrote it and passed it off as hers, heck the fool even quotes Pitt and puts it in his own story that she rewrote and then put her name to. So .. does Mr. Pitt have a problem with some one stealing his work??

Gee her e-mail seems to be down and I was just ready to send her a few tidbits from Mr. Pitt and his fellow posters at DU.
It would be nice for her to see what is fringe and extreme.

You know if she had written about Pitt's article that would be one thing .. she didn't and it would seem to me Mr. Pitt is covering her butt
I'm sure if it was someone on the right, Mr. Pitt would be singing a different tune
But this is amercia and he has every right to do as he wishes .. but it shows what kind of creditability they both have ... NONE!!

"If, however, she passed an article off as her own, that is plagiarism and she deserves to be fired" Okay, but if, as TLB says, he actually gave her permission to plagiarize, (I'm guessing in exchange for using his name within the article as a quoteworthy source) does that change things from the legal perspective? It is obvious that Pitt likes to see his name in print.
To: L.N. Smithee
Living proof that the majority of the left, the vast, ignorant majority, just
don't get it.
The small minority on the left who do get it, including the author, refuse to believe it.

You do know how to sing a song, DFU! LOL!

Actually, Pitt had a registered account with FR and he DID post several times because some posts were to me. The thread that was pulled regarding this article of Pitt's challenged him on that as well with links to some of his posts. It was pretty funny because apparently NOT banning him had been an oversight because during the course of that thread he got banned although he hadn't posted anything for months. Hehehe...
To: L.N. Smithee
Were they concerned I would misrepresent their views because they feel the media has a liberal bias?
To: kcvl
Lying fools I can handle, thats just about every politician. The fact the Bubba Zipper was a treasonous murderer is an all together different problem.

Anyone here that can answer that?
mo1,
you have mail to the link where he said it. I think she still did plagiarize as her boss I am sure was not told he rewrote a story.

"...but are whining that they can't do it fast enough..."Well, its really not very fair, most of them cant read. Im sure that there is something unfair about the running dog capitalist pig method we use...maybe we should have quotas that set aside a number of polls for them and other "handycapable but challenged" readers...
To: TLBSHOW
does that change things from the legal perspective?, I doubt very much there would be any legal claims brought against her .. especially if Pitt is saying he gave her permission
However, printing another persons article doesn't give her or her paper much creditability and it shows they have an agenda ..

Oh my. If that entire INTRODUCTION isn't ripped word-for-word from Pitt himself. If this is Jeff Jacoby, he's out on his butt in the freezing cold; I doubt anybody will bother Joyce about plagiarizing, though.
