[history]
Something strange happened during the 2000 Gore-Bush election fiasco you may have missed.
CNN, which was running 24-hour special election coverage, hosted a program with conservative columnist Bob Novak shortly after the disputed election results were returned. Novak was adamant that Al Gore should quit trying to steal the election and concede. To bolster his point, he brought up the results of CNN.com's public-opinion poll "Should Al Gore concede?" Poll results showed that a full 89 percent of the thousands of people who had visited CNN.com and voted had agreed -- Gore should give up the ghost.

"I guess we are not American people?" Silly FReeper! Didn't you figure out back during the reign of XXX42 that only THEY speak for the American people and are therefore the only ones qualified to identify someone as such? Off to the re-education camp with you!

But, still -- I tried to contact at least a dozen FReepers and right-wing organizations with FReepers in them (including Free Republic.com owner Jim Robinson), and very few of them were willing to talk to me. Why is that? Were they concerned I would misrepresent their views because they feel the media has a liberal bias? Joyce-
You could have walked up to me, or 15-20 others, during our counter-Freep at SF City Hall. And yes I do worry about the press misrepresenting our views...

On the other hand, look at how she characterizes the "left-leaning" activists: And, regarding tolerating speech, she almosts casts DemocratUnderground as pure as the driven snow. I wonder if she sees the language that they use over there.

"archery, and fishing, and swimming?" With liberals in charge??? You're kidding right? More like lectures by Al (I wanna be president) Gore, PETA sensitivity training, homosexuality for beginners, "how to feel good about killing your baby" classes, mandatory reading of the DU board, and having to write "conservatives are evil" 1,000 times a day. They might have swimming....think cesspool of liberal ideology.
To: Jim Robinson
See Jim, you really have created a monster. And what a wonderful and lovable monster it is too! You should be very proud!
To: sweetliberty
...and having to write "conservatives are evil" 1,000 times a day. ...and learning to write the "f" word 14 times in one sentence without being repetitive.

Talk about baiting FReepers! You KNOW good and well Budge, that there is no better way to get FReepers to click on a link. BTW, I had already seen it. Losers! I'm trying to think what imaginary fraud we have committed in their feeble little minds now. I have too much of a headache to read it all the way through.

Did you catch this little jem at the end of Pitt's rant?
William Rivers Pitt is a lifelong resident of Boston, Massachusetts. He is the columnist for LittleGeorgeBush.com, and has contributed to OnlineJournal.com, BuzzFlash.com, BushWatch.com, DemocraticUnderground.com, LiberalSlant.com and LegitGov.com. He is a teacher of high school English Literature, History and Journalism.
God help the children he teaches history to!

With a headache, 12 DU posts might as well be 100. LOL!
To: Dog Gone
"There was almost an identical article posted here a month or two ago. I don't remember who wrote it" It was written by Will Pitt. I forget who reposted it, but yes, it is obvious that it forms the basis of some of this garbage. Jim pulled the thread. Too bad too. It was a good thread.
To: L.N. Smithee
"It's just the lunatic fringe I worry about."
You can find the entire lunatic fringe at DU.com, there is where radical and profane speech is welcomed and promoted. Anyone who doubts that can go and see it for themselves.
