For contrast and Comparison

Ronald Reagan

At the end of his two terms in office, Ronald Reagan viewed with satisfaction the achievements of his innovative program known as the Reagan Revolution, which aimed to reinvigorate the American people and reduce their reliance upon Government. He felt he had fulfilled his campaign pledge of 1980 to restore "the great, confident roar of American progress and growth and optimism."
...
Overall, the Reagan years saw a restoration of prosperity, and the goal of peace through strength seemed to be within grasp.

Somehow, when I think of Zot, I can't help but think of Storm...

And a great rendition of that thought, too!

It's already been (thankfully) removed. Someone from the DU tried to slip a turn in the punchbowl and post some gooey sweet bio of Slick Willie. It was removed quickly.

In 1998, as a result of issues surrounding personal indiscretions with a young woman White House intern, Clinton was the second U.S. president to be impeached by the House of Representatives.

They always seem to miss that one...

If you think Clinton was great, just think how wonderful the economy would be right now if he had not raised taxes and allowed corporate fraud to continue and had actually done something to strengthen national security rather than doing things to diminish it? Then, we would not have the current deficit and Reagan's economic boom would have continued, rather than being slowed by terrorist attacks on our country, high taxes, and corporate fraud.

If he actually had a clue regarding the realities of the world, North Korea would not have nukes right now, Iraq would have been resolved by now, we would not have lost american lives in Somilia, and the Palestinian terrorists would not have begun believing that terrorism brings success.

Thank god that his overreaching by trying to implement socialism, begining with nationalized health care, woke america up, resulting in a republican majority in congress. Despite his vetos, we managed to pass welfare reform (after vetoing it he eventually signed it when polls showed it was popular) and balance the budget.

Unfortunately, he misused executive authority to further burden American businesses with unnecessary and counterproductive regulations, which could not have been passed democratically.

And of course, he really tarnished the office of the presidency, but that, ultimately, will play only a minor roll in his eventually being ranked one of the worst presidents in American history. He inherited a booming economy and strong, secure nation, and did his best to destroy both the nation's economy and security (and I'm not even talking about selling national security secrets to the Chinese for campaign contributions). If he had not started following the Republican congress' lead, he would have nothing to point to as a success. As it is, he did not initiate anything that was good for the country.

I only pray that President Bush can solve all the problems created by Clinton before it is too late.

I may have missed it in there, but let's not forget about the campaign cash he accepted from the ChiComs in return for missile plans that now allow the Chicoms to hit with impunity, any of our major cities on the Left Coast with nuclear tipped ICBM's.
