I liked the Fed EX Castaway and the Sierra Mist Monkey that wound up in the Polar Bear pool!

Xmen and Matrix will come out in May one week apart, T2 will come out one week after the Hulk on July 3rd so it will be competing against T2. I think there is a lot of pent up demand for seeing this new Hulk and the old Marvel fans will be looking forward to this more than T2. T2 will make a lot of money, but a solid comic fan base is a great advantage IMHO. Just remember, Spiderman came up against the almighty Episode II and Spiderman took the steam out of Episode II. The Marvel superhero genre is extremely hot right now.

Huff-n-Puff missed an opportunity to yank the administration's nose by getting one of her SUV ads in the same block as the government ads.

"...And sorry, but that Terry Tate Reebok was too much of a ripoff of Sportscenter ads (plus it had the most disgusting reference of all, luckily few persons caught it)."I thought it was humorous from the standpoint of seeing everyday office weanies getting pummeled but I thought Terry Tate was a poor man's Mr. T (not that wealthy people enjoyed... ah, nevermind...) I went back to the ad and after your warning I couldn't decide which part of the commercial had the disgusting reference you allude to. There are, however, a few scenes to choose from. More clues please?

Just remember, Spiderman came up against the almighty Episode II and Spiderman took the steam out of Episode II. After the disappointment that was Ep I, Ep II wasn't really very tough competition. About the only way to rescue it would have been to feature the slow painful death of Jar-Jar.

There's a good chance the big loser will be Matrix, with 2 movies coming out a couple months apart, and no small amount of "matrix-cam" in the offerings this year (Daredevil, X-Men and Charlie's Angels 2 I know for sure). Of course I'm biased, once I found out what the actual plot of Matrix was I lost all temporary suspension of disbelief trying to figure out why someone would want to "break" the Matrix and force everyone to live on the burnt out rock that was reality; as such I have zero interest in either sequel and am actually hoping they bomb miserably.
I knew Spiderman wouldn't face much competition from EpII, since everybody knows that Lucas is a horrible director and fussy about what theaters his movies show in there were serious limitations on EpII from the start. The success of X-Men told us there were plenty of comicbook geeks out there, and Spiderman is generally more popular than X-Men anyway. Hulk is pretty low profile though, and it'll be the third comicbook movie this year, could be market saturation. We'll see, I'd like it to be successful Hulk is one of my favorite comics.

The beef jerky slime commercial was pretty funny. So was the Osbournes, Sierra Mist and the Fed Ex guy.
However, my favorite was the cadillac commercial that started with the guy on the train. Very classy.

How about ABC's promo for
The Practice, a male take-off of the Miller Lite fountain-fight?

The problem with the Cady commercial was that the new Cadies are ugly compact cars compared to the old classics. Reminding the audience what Caddy used to mean isn't gonna help sell the new hideous things.

the mom and daughter ad was hilarious Yeah, you're right, everyone at the party with a wife got in trouble for laughing at that one.
My favorite was the guy in the "handstand clown" costume.

I got an elbow shot to the ribcage on the other Bud commercial when the girl tells the guy that he's such a good listener...

"the mom and daughter ad was hilarious Yeah, you're right, everyone at the party with a wife got in trouble for laughing at that one." I'll bet that's one spot Jennifer Lopez isn't laughing about. She looks like the mother TODAY. Never could see why guys would like a gal with a huge ass.
The Monster.com Driverless Truck ad cost a bundle to produce, and will probably prove to be one of the more effective ads in terms of response. The Ozzy ads lost all their impact be virtue of having been previewed on countless shows beforehand.
Andy Serwer of Fortune magazine said this morning on CNN that if the ad agencies did their jobs like this for the other 364 days a year, you wouldn't have so many TiVo's out there.
I thought the upside-down clown ad was embarassing. For the agency.

They sure were. I'm now convinced more than ever that the ONDCP is run by clowns and that my tax dollars are being wasted. Is that the effect you're talking about?
If the BATF spent millions of dollars of taxpayer money to buy ads claiming that stricter gun control was needed for the war on terrorism, what would be the reaction around here?

My favorite by far was: Terry Tate, Office Linebacker (Reebok) That one cracked me up to no end. Those hits looked and sounded real, too.
The company name was a bit....errr....unique though.
