America's excessive gun ownership results from an inordinate, unfair and implicitly fear of blacks.

If you think up the most stupid, irrational things you are capable of, you are bound to get a following.

Half the comments I've seen on Moore's film "Bowling For Columbine" are bogus and sound like the writers haven't even seen the movie.
His film was definitely NOT anti-gun and was more nuanced than I thought it would be.
It's typical Moore in your face liberalism, annoying at times, yet makes some valid points and is surprisingly hard on the news media.
In fact Moore is the first person I've seen ream the local news media establishment for feeding the fires of racism.
I've always beieved that local news establishment intentionally feed into the stereotypes of blacks and is the main cause of white misconceptions of the black community.
Moores treatment of Charlton Heston was lame, but it was a good old fashioned tabloid magazine ambush. I'm surprised Heston even agreed to the interview.
Overall it was a pretty good film considering the perspective it came from.....It was in no way Anti-gun.

Is Moore a bigot? Yes. One only need to look at his comments about how the terrorists shouldnt have targeted NY and DC because those areas didnt vote for Bush. And his recent comments that the reason the terrorists reached their targets is because the passengers were white. He says black men wouldn't have taken any crap from the terrorists and would have taken em out.
And thats just the tip of the ice berg with his comments. There are many many more, but time is short.

In fact Moore is the first person I've seen ream the local news media establishment for feeding the fires of racism. What Moore has done here (and I know b/c many of my best friends are fans of his) is stoke the American-is-Racist fires. In fact, he has gone farther by suggesting that the main stream media is trying to get whites to dislike blacks. Yet, he won't acknowledge that there is a blantant, systematic effort to get blacks to hate whites.

I know I don't, and I'm pretty sure that Mr Twelve Gauge doesn't care what color he's pointing at.

Yet, he won't acknowledge that there is a blantant, systematic effort to get blacks to hate whites.I don't know if that's the case, but it's certainly a natural result of the news media doing the opposite.

Moore's IQ renders him unaccountable for his words and actions.
Which is OK, as liberals aren't accountable for anything anyway.
When you have no values, there's nothing to fall short of.

What it is it with Moore and Blacks? Methinks he's got a jones for Black men.
To: zarf
So you subscribe to Moore's idea that the media is actually trying to portray blacks in a bad light? That they inordinatedly focus on black crime? That they perpetuate negative stereotypes? I'll have to be honest and say that I find this view absurd.

Is filmaker Michael Moore a bigot? No, just an idiot. Unfortunately, an idiot with a camera.

Instead of dropping pigs on Iraq, maybe we should drom Mike Moore on them.

It would be hard to tell the difference.
To: KayEyeDoubleDee
Moore goes well beyond that and emphasises that fear, negativity and hysteria are the life blood of local news outlets.
It's hard refute that point.
