Democrats just don't get it

Posted on 01/02/2003 8:03:18 AM PST by ShelleyAa

If I hear one more whinny Democrat complain that it just isn’t fair that Republicans have a monopoly on all news outlets, radio talk shows, political research groups, as well as Internet sites, I might scream myself. Democrats’ problem today is they just don’t get it; their premise is so off base, not able to see the truth. It is time for Democrats to start answering questions honestly about their message and who is listening and proclaiming “their’ good news.

A huge majority of the influential media elites vote for what political party on a regular basis? Which political party has complete command of Hollywood and what comes from that source? Who really owns the distinction of monopolizing the news?

I am willing to bet that even if Democrats were given public monies to; establish a television station that honestly proclaimed its liberal bent and were able to talk one of their Hollywood elite into becoming the liberal Rush Limbaugh, they still would not have the upper hand. They need to ask themselves why that is.

The Republican Party has been given no free pass regarding information given to the public; rather it has been a steep uphill battle, contrary to Democrat’s path taken. The brilliance of Fox’s Murdock and radio’s Limbaugh must not be underestimated. It is the concept of supply and demand, as well as fair and balanced reporting that moves public sentiment.

Perhaps when Democrats stop believing polls stating all of America really loves their issues, couldn’t possibly agree with Republicans and see that truth, not spin is being sought, they might have a better go at it.

Understand when you have “regular folk” all across America that would sacrifice a great deal just to have Fox News and Rush in their homes on daily basis that says a lot.

Democrats are a strange bunch especially their leaders. They complain about politics of personnel destruction when that is how they try to divide the country. They have little pride in America, it seems that the American people serve for their pleasure only. If you don't cotton to the democratic line, you aren't American. They used the surplus for other countries and other people when there was much to do here at home. They take our best technologies and sell them to nations that will use the knowledge against us. They lack an enormous amount of integrity and don't seem to care as they flaunt sleazy ethics and morality in our faces.

We didn't have a government for the people under the Clinton administration, what we had was a Democrats Only need apply type of government and now they are attempting to replace a People's Government with their tired old arguments about an education system they didn't fix in 8 years, a health care program they messed up and couldn't fix in 8 years, a social security system they say needs fixing and did nothing about it in 8 years when in reality that system is fine as long as lawmakers don't spend the money that social security is meant for; they spent 8 years hiring federal workers with no qualifications as long as it meant a democratic vote leaving behind a dumbed down, bloated army of sleazy federal laborers who have plundered their departments of millions in dollars and equipment.

Democrats seem to have no respect, no real base from which true justice can spring, only justice that bends for them. They have no enthusiasm for country/nation, no pride, just the spoils from a rich nation for the DNC. They continue to huddle with shady and corrupt people both here in America and abroad for reasons that only benefit them. They are elitists and exclude the real Americans as they race for the Marxist Utopia they have dreamed about...where individual successes are discouraged in favor of a commune like population. They have learned nothing from failed socialism or failed communism; they still want to live like kings all the while painting a glowing picture of togetherness for the masses who work for them. It is called Slavery, servitude to a few at the top, domination over the people through higher taxes and rules and regulations. Democrats want a Unionized nation/world of bondage and they can surely have it by dividing the country with the deceptive lies they and the press propagandize with daily.

Stand tall Americans and stand firmly for the principals of our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, both of which are like the fabled Vampires silver cross or spike to the leading democrats, they don't want you to have either; it is these people who would return this country to the quagmire of corruption of the Clinton/Gore/Reno years.

As I have heard from many dependent democratic voters...."The Democrats are the party that offers hope...."

I guess that is all that is needed.....false hope!

--as long as the "message" of the Demotraitors continues to be criminal behavior in office, abuse of judicial power, and treason, it indeed may be difficult to get the message across, no matter what the media except for their co-conspirators in the major "news"network and house organs like the New York Times--

A good Man said years ago that the truth would set us free.
I never thought that some of that truth would come to us via the AM dial.

They know all about it.

It is just their usual Big Lie tactic. If they repeat it often enough, it will become the "Truth", as espoused by _their_ media.

The Rat "message" is intellectually corrupt and indefensible.

Even the morons who have repeatedly voted for the Klintons know that's the case.

The Democrats had a complete monopoly over the media for so long, they just can't handle competition. First the Washington Times, then talk radio, then the internet, and now Fox News. This is the first time in a post WWII history we have balance. Sure the conservatives have talk radio, much of the internet, and the #1 cable news channel, but the liberals have the hollywood, television shows, network news, most major magazines, and most major newspapers.

are you familiar with the definition of control?
Keep hope alive and never gratify it

this true for personal relationships, politics and life ...

think about it ...
Dems. do it because it works. It matters not in the least whether what they say is true or correct ... they say it because "it works". Haven't we caught on to this by now?

Bill Clinton and Hillary used this to the max.and it worked and still is working.

Instead of trying to please everyone (read media), it is necessary we develop our own character; and live by the principles thereof; and stop apologizing for who we are and what we believe. The GOP is like the doormat that the democrats daily wipe their feet on as they encounter any situation. We do not stand up and counter thir lies with effective clarity of the facts. It is said, to have a good offense is more important than a good defense, I agree.

I didn't hear after this year's elections for the Repubs to declare a moratorium on talk radio 60 days prior to an election. Just the Dims did. As Jack Nicholson said in a Few Good Men: the Dims "CAN' HANDLE THE TRUTH!"

Worried that their party has been outgunned in the political propaganda wars by conservative radio and television personalities, influential Democrats are scouring the nation for a liberal answer to Rush Limbaugh and the many others on the deep bench of Republican friends.

,...The efforts among influential Democrats, particularly liberals, range from a grass-roots talent search for progressive radio hosts to the creation of research organizations to provide a Democratic spin for the news media, to nascent discussions by wealthy supporters about starting a cable network with a liberal bent.

Hello, just what in the world is CBS/NBC/ABC/PBS/CNN/MSNBC/CNBC. What is the cable networks with the liberal bent they want - Pravda?

People working on these projects acknowledged they were venturing into territory where liberals have failed and failed again, most notably with the short-lived radio programs of Mario M. Cuomo and Jim Hightower, not to mention Phil Donahue's struggling liberal talk show on MSNBC.

...However, they said, the recent Republican gains have perhaps set the backdrop for the emergence of an angry liberal who could claim the same outsider status that worked so well for Mr. Limbaugh in the early 1990's.

Typical lie, it couldn't have anything to do with ideas resonating with people. How do they explain Mr. Limbaugh's audience increase during both GOP and Democratic administrations?" Mr. Donahue's show is not struggling it is dead and is on artificial respiration, the ratings flat lined after the first week.

..."If you start from the premise that the message was right, which we do, then the problem was that it wasn't getting out to the people," said one official of the Democratic Party who spoke on condition that his name not be used.

Garbage in, garbage out. Start from a faulty premise and the results are going to be skewed. The Dim erratic party message did get out and for the most part it was rejected.

..."Progressives have this problem: They sound too erudite, it's like eggheads talking at you," Mr. Athens said. "We believe that progressive talk radio can be every bit as successful as conservative talk radio if people present and format a show that people like."
[Full Whining Story]

When I looked up erudite in the thesaurus it gave James Carville and Paul Begala as antonyms. If Radio talk shows were 1 to 3 minutes long then liberal talk shows would be successful. They have always been successful in the sound bite wars but substantive solutions to real problems is a weakness. The other problem is that real people can call into these shows and challenge their opinions if they don't call screen out all who might disagree with them. Neil Boortz (who I can only listen to in moderation) once talked about an offer he made to two liberals talk show hosts to do his program for a week while he was on vacation. They would only accept the offer if they could control and screen the calls themselves.

The claims of "unfair treatment" and a VRWC in the media is all because it has recently come to public light that the media is actually as far left as you can get and virtually everything you hear or read from the mainstram media has passed through the "liberal filter" before distribution.

So, what do the leftists/socialists/DemocRats do? They pull one of the oldest tricks they have, i.e, they accuse the OTHER side of doing EXACTLY what they are guilty of and then pretend to be the victims.

Everyone knows that it was the Rats who opposed segregation and the civil rights but it is the Republicans who get called racists.

I love the line that says "Progressives sound too erudite."

You don't suppose that the morons consider that they're deep and thoughful whenever they tell us that we're racist, fascist homophobes, do you?

I mean, that's deep. That's nothing like name-calling. Not when Progressives do it. Yet, strangely enough, that's most of what they say, most of the time, most everywhere.

Yes, those Progressives are real brainy.
