New Special Shape Hot Air Balloon- Constitution Program Grows
US Flag Balloon ^ | 1/1/03 | abner

The year 2002 was a great one for Victim of Circumstance and I. We traveled the countryside with our US Flag Balloon, met lots of FReepers that we wouldn't have met and gave out lots of pocket Constitutions. The US flag Balloon is a great draw, and people are really eager for knowledge of their great Constitution.

This year we are proud to announce a new shape and FReepers are some of the first to know what it is- Take a look at www.usflagballoon.com and find out for yourself what it is. We have a short Flash presentation you can take a gander at.

I hope to be meeting even more FReepers this year!

We are celebrating 100 years of powered flight, and the GREAT USA!

We hope to give out double the Constitutions this year.

Here is a preview of what the new balloon will look like(a front shot anyway)

This is actually the pin design. When I have a good photo of the actual balloon, I will be posting it for all to see.

Am curious.

Perhaps you have read of our plan to put the Shrillery threads and any other Skullery/hillery data on 3X5 cards--probably one side 1-3 potent paragraphs and the other side 1-3 lines of very catching wording etc.

Am curious if you'd be interested in handing such cards out along your way--or in having them available.

Am initially trying to format them so that people can print them up on their own printers.

Doug has mentioned getting a sponsor to have them preprinted and some have requested preprinted ones as they have no printer.

Anyway--judging from the number of pocket constitutions you've given out, how many 3X5 cards would you guesstimate using if you wanted to do such?

God's best to you for your great labor of love in behalf of our republic.

Sounds like a great idea.

The balloons and the Constitution project are non-partisan though. And we mean it in a real way. Although, I met very few people that liked the Clintons last summer with the Flag Balloon. LOL!

I was wondering about that. Assumed as much.

So, IF the cards were written strictly as exposing an individual's personal evils, it might be workable for you or not?

I wouldn't want to tarnish your vital project.

On the other hand, we sure want to keep the evil woman away from ever again holding power in the White House!

The Flash video is awesome in itself, abner. You guys are so terrific!!!

Do you anticipate having the Patriot at Statesville? Will you have both balloons?

Oh, and Happy New Year!!!

LOL!

The cards wouldn't work. But remember, once we get'em cornered, we FReep. So does VOC and most of the crew. We usually are surrounded by FReepers who like to talk politics(in a nice way). We literally set up a tent on the field and people come to us.

In Statesville, NC this year we had a vegan and a liberal reporter in the tent. Kayak can tell you about that one.

You beat me to the post!

Sorry to say, we aren't in Statesville's budget this year. Their event will be in May this year and they already let us know that we won't be there.

We are trying to get to Fayetteville though.

I love the Flash too. Normally I'm a Flash free zone, but our new pilot put it together. He is going to be awesome!

Oh, do we really have to start off the new year talking about them? ..... LOL!

abner, you wouldn't believe how many times I've had the opportunity to turn down subscription offers to the Charlotte Observer since then. They are really trying hard to increase their readership. I take great delight in telling them I'm not interested because the paper is sooooo liberal.

One day I got the fun of refusing on the phone and then later someone knocked on our door and hubby got to tell the poor salesman to his face. He said the guy just kind of nodded and had a look on his face that clearly said "I've heard this before."

We had to have dinner with them. Taxman & Dixie were kind enough to keep VOC & I away from them. They were extremely gracious. LOL!

I love the free market! Capitalism at it's finest I tell you!
