HOLLYWOOD, Florida (Reuters) - A company associated with a group that believes extraterrestrials created mankind claimed Friday that it had produced the first clone of a human being.
The company, Clonaid, announced it had created a healthy baby girl who was a clone of the 31-year-old American woman who gave birth to her. No proof was provided for the claim.
"I'm very very pleased to announce that the first baby clone is born," Clonaid director Brigitte Boisselier, a former research chemist in France, said at a news conference in Hollywood, north of Miami.

This is the latest "Lady" to come forward and claim Clinton sexually harrassed her! Yeah, Clinton "cloned" her. Er...at least, that's what he told her when he was forcing her to...

"How would you like to be part of a scientific experiment baby?"

I remember reading that there may be deformities in the first human clonings.(Remember that sheep with 2 heads? Or that Mouse that grew a human ear? What about this lady's Dome?)How does anyone know how many times they were unsucccessful? I'm full of questions that surely no one asked at that press conference, that I didn't see.

Truly the epitome of selfishness. Willing to risk unknown (potential) minor and major health consequences through experimentation on a living being. Manifestation of the ego...ominous milestone for mankind.
Future scene- Man on phone calling into Bio-Genetics firm so that he and the Mrs's can order a specimen.
Yeah can we get the base model with peach for the skin color and straw for the hair color ? Can we get the egg sent Fed Ex ? Me and the Mrs's want the self administration kit too. Oh yeah, so I don't forget, send us the self abort kit too, just in case there is any sign of trouble. click...
PC madness- Europeans outraged over bio-engineered corn ! The horrors of it all !
Bio-engineered human... hey no problem mon. Consequences ? Consequences ? We don't care about no stinkin consequences ! We (they) aren't the ones that will experience the side effects. That's somebody else's problem.

I agree that there are plenty of questions that still need to be asked.
I think that this will end up like the File Sharing Napster and Kazzaa. You can ban it in the U.S. but you will never be able to ban it around the world.
I use Kazza a lot though, and have no use for cloning.

Wasn't there a group in Los Angeles a couple years ago who believed that the only way to catch their spaceship was to kill themselves?
