December 17, 2002 -- Religious tensions erupted yesterday after authorities confirmed that an Arab girl beat up a Jewish girl at a Brooklyn middle school.

The Arab teen was arrested and suspended for the Dec. 12 attack on the 13-year-old Jewish girl, an honors student, at IS 259 in Dycker Heights, sources said.

I'm sure the investigation will yield the following information:

"We have discovered something disturbing. While the Jewish girl was being beat up, she failed to put her hands fully on the ground. Therefore, her fingernail caused a slight scratch on the Arab girl's body, which showed great insensitivity on the Jewish girl's part. Clearly, therefore, both girls are responsible, and we must all work together to end the cycle of violence."

Well, it's the logic they apply to the Middle East, anyway.

Whether or not the city does its job, I know and know of a goodly number of bad-ass guys in NYC who will not take kindly to this.

Of course it wasn't reported as a hate crime, religious bias crime...it was against a Jew. They never report crimes against Jews as hate/religious biased because they don't want to offend the perps. Islam is a religion of peace!!...Isn't that what our President is always saying in our faces...

You liberty loving individuals have determined guilt beyond a shadow of a doubt, based virtually on no information other than the hear-say statement of someone with reason for bias whom was not even there to witness this most grave act of antisemitism. Check out this story about NYC's public schools. Schools Chancellor Joel Kleine actually wants to charge a mother with neglect because she refused to send her daughter to a dangerous school.

When are these school officials going to realize that a mother's desire to protect her daughter from violence is more important than any "education" she could get in one of NYC's dangerous and morally bankrupt schools?

This mother was savvy enough to contact attorney Ron Kooby who has a radio show with Curtis Sliwa on WABC to defend her.

The MAYOR is now looking for a decent school for this girl. School Chancellor Kleine probably wishes he wasn't so quick to fault the girl's mother.

Things are changing: I was just recently talking to a friend from school - a commie lesbian industrial relations professor. I mentioned I was contacted by a fellow alum to sign a petion countering a petition urging my alma mater to boycott Israel. I told her I signed it, and the conversation led to why there is such solid support among conservatives for Israel. I mentioned FR to her, and I bet she's lurking even now.

Let the lefties slam their heads against the wall a while longer. This is a big losing issue for them.

- Maybe you should go back and read the article again. And the only thing I'm ashamed about is that we are letting these sought of things happen without making an effort to stop it. After all, the next time it could happen to one of our own kids since Christians are also on their hit list.

The ethnic background of these girls does not constitute a "hate crime". Why do you (or the author) know that this was caused by religious tensions? You are making assumptions beyond the facts you are given. It's bad reporting and I believe the author of this article is as biased as yourself. Your response is very telling. I bet some of your best friends are Black too.
