Ya know, they really are going to the well too often with the whole 'Al wishes he was President' thing, but that Stuart Smalling skit was classic, and probably what will be discussed the most(except for the embarrassing kiss scene). It may not have been a gutbuster, but the whole concept of Tipper and Al seeing Stuart has so many levels of entendre. I can't wait to see what Noonan and Coulter will do with it.

That Peanuts skit started out funny, but sure got weird. Cartoonists seemed to be the most twisted of all these days.

ALGORE wasn't too bad as a cranky, old, penny pincher in that Willy Wonka skit. I think we found his range as an actor -- a complainer...

There were some funny parts of the show tonight, and Al Gore wasn't horrible. But, I guess it is too obvious to me that he is not an entertainer, and is really "using" the audience for a purpose other than to entertain. This is smiley face campaiging and not much more. NBC was very nice to give him a 90 minute, free political commercial.

I agree. The mirror mirror skit convinced me he's given up all hope for 2004 but then I'm giving him too much credit for being 'rational'. This schizophrenic might believe he's showing yet another side to woo the voters.

Only if there's some in my Seagrams too.

Phish is even better the second time.

Boy, Al Gore's version number changes faster than that big 'National Debt' sign.

Actually, I think the singer for Phish looks more like Dana Carvey than Chuck Connors. What think you?

But, I'm not entirely sure he's campaigning for president -- maybe he is up for some talk show host role, or something else. I feel like the office of president has to have at least a shred of dignity, and with Al Gore introducing "PHISH" I just don't know. I mean, if Osama nukes us, is Tipper going to start playing the drums in the White House? And will the cast of West Wing, staying overnight, really be able to help Al Gore figure out how to handle our joint chiefs of staff Osama? The world is no longer a big playground movie set. It is unsettling to think that way in terms of what we are really living through.

As usual, the DU psychos completely overexagerate Gore's funnyness, saying he is a better actor than Reagan. Plus, they see the West Wing skit as beautful, rather than the deranged feelings of a loser who can't let go.

Are there any campaign finance reform lawsuits ongoing or lined up to prevent us from having to put up with nonsense before every election?

Not so sure. He probably thinks so but people are laughing at him. I disagree with ever thing he stands for but I feel sorry for him tonight.

I think that he's quite pleased with himself tonight and thinks that he's finally shown the voters just what a fun, hep cat he really is.
