The timing in the Stuart Smalley skit is too good to be taped. I looks live to me.

Daily Affirmations -- Tipper and Al Bore talking about there "best-selling" book.

Talking about them losing the Presidency now.

"Sure that was a dissapointment, but I wouldn't describe it as dramatic." -- Al Gore.

They are lamenting over the election, Al claming he ate too much. Showing a picture of a fat, large Al Gore "in shame" about election.

Al Gore claims he is over the election. Tipper, fake cry... Tipper admits Al Gore has feelings over the election. Claims that Al is in denial about the election.

Stuart Smalley tries to trace, face, and erase the denial that ALGORE has about the election.

Al Gore: HI ME. I am sad about not being President. (egged on by Stuart Smalley) And that's OK. I don't have to be the most powerful man in the world.

Stuart -- I don't have to be able to bomb a country anytime I want.

Al- Look, I wouldn't arbitarily bomb a country.

Al -- All I have to be is the best AL I can be. Because I am good enough, I am smart enough, and dog gone it people like me. Actually I do feel better.

Yes, the Smally skit was live. But, the other ones I mentioned were taped. (You can tell if it's on tape when the editing is cutting from a shot of Al Gore in a hot tub to AL Gore in a suit! THe professor one was obviously on tape. And, so was the West Wing skit on tape.)

I don't think he's going to run for president. I think this is a live audition for some tv show or movie role he wants and may be offered. This Wily Wonka skit has convinced me.

OK, I just got home, I've got a few in me, brought up Free Republic, saw the Gore on SNL thread. I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT IT. DAMMIT.

Run to the TV, catch Gore talking to himself in the mirror, it's one of those incredibly painful and unfunny Stuart Smalley bits.
