Algeria 'kills top al-Qaida leader'
25/11/2002 - 16:57:58
An Islamic militant killed by Algerian security forces in a raid two months ago has been identified as a top al-Qaida operative for Africa, Algerias official news agency reported today.
Emad Abdelwahid Ahmed Alwan, alias Abu Mohammed, was shot and killed in the September 12 raid in the eastern Batna region, 270 miles east of the capital Algiers, the official APS news agency said.
The body of Alwan, a Yemeni, was identified after a two-month investigation by government experts, the report said. He was a top al-Qaida leader for northern and western Africa, it said.
Algerias military is fighting a ten year insurgency by Islamic militants, which has claimed more than 120,000 lives. Raids by soldiers on suspected militant hideouts are common.

"How is it that in every country..." you ask about their religion?
I think we all know by now. They are NOT like us at all. All religions are NOT created equal.
In our search for right standing with God, WE hunger and thirst for righteousness, so we baptise, confess, repent, take communion, extend mercy to our enemies and forgive those who wrong us. These are but a few of the religious "rites" of western civilization and the judeo-christian heritage we enjoy.
They seem to focus on only ONE rite
The hunger and thirst for, as well as the shedding of, innocent blood.
I guess you could lump that in with their other two primary "rites"; the murder and terror of those who do not pursue their murder-cult-god allah.
What "religion of peace" do they offer the world around them!?!
The peace of being a dead corpse after they 'islamize' a nation. The peace of experiencing the ceremonial and systematic slaughter called for by their islamic murder-cult-god, allah.

Post #8 is yet another reminder that the 9/11 hijackers are tightly wired into the Palestinian terror structure (ala "Black September").

Abu Mohammed al-Masri This guy is on your list, is this him? I believe that is him. This particular goat humper was refered to as the head of operation for North and East Africa. The Abu Mohammed al-Masri on this list is refered to the same way. I'm keeping the list on my computer and I have him marked dead until someone says otherwise. This guy isn't just a big shot, he's a member of the Majlis the groups that's just under Binny himself. That makes 6 out of 16 of that group killed or captured so far. And the pace seems to be picking up.

You posted the good news:
That makes 6 out of 16 of that group killed or captured so far. And the pace seems to be picking up. The even better news is we have been told about 6 killed or captured. There may be more, and we will be told when their value is zero to us. They will be listed as dead weeks or months ago.

Maybe, you could send your list to Mullah Da$$hole and the Goron so they can update their scorecards!

The Abu Mohammed al-Masri on this list is refered to the same way. I've been carrying al-Masri as an Afghan Training Camp commander. I'm not saying you're wrong or I'm right - just that we may differ. But I, too, am wondering if this could be the guy, because the al-Masri on my charts is considered a key Bin Laden lieutenant. And if this isn't him, then this is an Al Qaeda big wig I haven't yet heard of.
