"Please have the RATS changing to the Republican Party line up. Have them be patient--we will get to them all as soon as we can." I was once a DemocRAT. Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan convinced me to switch parties each in their own different way.

Will Ford wake up -- NEVER!!! Maybe some black voters will! I can always hope!
To: mhking
Actually I think it was the Blue Dog DemocRATs which gave him the votes but haven't heard for sure!

The following was mentioned on our local talk radio yesterday and I wonder what you guys think about it.
When Nacy Pelosi wins she will take the party so far left (and disenfranchise so many)it'll be good for Hillary. When it comes time for witchy-woman to run for president she will try to come across as more moderate and to many be the party's "Savior". Gag, I know. But, thoughts, anyone?

FNS: Pelosi elected to head DemocratsAnd thanks to Bubba, no one will ever see "head" and "Democrats" appearing in the same sentence quite the same way again.
To: lormand
My family on both sides were once RATS. Now they are all Republicans.

One way I judge whether I should do something or not (in a competitive situation) is to ask, "what does my competitor want me to do?", and then *not* do that.
If Republicans could have voted, they'd have unanimously voted for Pelosi as the Dem leader.

LOL! Me, too. I've said this exact same thing here before!

You are absolutely right. The media Lefties are already drooling over her. But can't we on FR have a little fun at her expense for a short while? Like maybe captioning this pic of her with a rather large, mean-looking bull whip? The woman has the strangest, most vacant forced smile I've ever seen.

Dems all drank the Kool-Aid! I find all this peculiar too. This began as a two-way race between Pelosi and Frost; both Pelosi and Frost claimed a solid backing. When Ford entered the picture, there was some talk that he could take some of Pelosi's support, and without enough of his own, throw the election to Frost. Almost immediately, Frost withdrew b/c he said that Pelosi had the votes. Did anyone else but me think that was very strange? It seemed to me someone pulled him aside and said that this was Pelosi's to win. I also can't believe more dems did not vote for Ford. Someone I think also pulled them aside for instructions. But why did they listen?

Well it's just a guess on my part .. but I would bet Hilda was behind Nancy being elected
This past election seemed to have put a big crack in their base so I guess this is their way of getting back on track
And yes I still think Hilda will run in 2004

Do you hear that? That is the sound of the DemocRAT's airplane going down in flames because they cut off the right wing.

When Nacy Pelosi wins she will take the party so far left Get ready. They'll sell her as "the first woman". They will ALWAYS mention her gender. Her gender is what they want the most. It'll get them the female vote back (they assume),as well as secure their girly-boy base.
When they run Hillary for Pres., the voter will already be used to the idea of "a woman in a powerful position."
They want her in power because she's female. They're setting the stage for Hillary.
"It's her gender, stupid!"

When it comes time for witchy-woman to run for president she will try to come across as more moderate and to many be the party's "Savior". This is definitely a possiblity. I think it's also likely the Clintons persuaded Gore to deliver that moronic speech on Iraq--definitely eliminated him from the pack. Note also that Hillary voted for the Iraq ressolution.

The Dems hereafter can be called the Nancy Boys! (as per Physicist)!!!!!!!
To: TomGuy
So much for Harold Ford's momentum. I knew they would go to their real roots; exit stage left. This destruction should be fun to watch. The Socialists are in charge of the RATS now.

The Dems hereafter can be called the Nancy Boys! (as per Physicist)!!!!!!! They need to desentisize the voter to a female in power.
Right now, America probably wouldn't vote for a woman President.
If they can get voters used to Nancy, then they can say "See? Nancy ran the country. There's no reason why a woman (Hillary) couldn't be a President."
"It's the gender, stupid."

The exposure that Palosi and her feelings could work to her benefit. As the saying goes "any publicity is better than none". If this saying has no merit how can one explain those who publicly demonstrate no matter how small the demostration is.
