(11-14) 09:22 PST WASHINGTON (AP) -- House Democrats on Thursday made Rep. Nancy Pelosi the first woman ever to head a political party's caucus in Congress.
In choosing Pelosi on a 177-29 vote, Democrats tasked the veteran California congresswoman with reviving a party stunned by election setbacks and facing a political landscape in which the White House and both houses of Congress are controlled by Republicans.
Democrats settled on the 62-year-old liberal to succeed Dick Gephardt of Missouri, who ended his eight years as party leader after an election where Republicans cemented their control over the House and won back the majority in the Senate.

Ann Coultier was right they should use the following slogan: "Democrats: The gift that keeps on giving."
Thank god they're to stupid to realize that they're giving the gift to the GOP.

Please have the RATS changing to the Republican Party line up. Have them be patient--we will get to them all as soon as we can.

Pelosi on a 177-29 vote Of the 29 non-KoolAid drinkers, how many will we get as refugees?

While it's clear Pelosi is a hard-leftist, we must be very careful in dealing with her. She can be quite charming and even disarming. She's a politician, born and bred, not a mere ideologue. She knows her way around Washington. She's gonna get great press.
We need to let her hurt herself through her positions, rather than trashing her constantly.

Liberals are alive, and [sort of] well, and licking their wounds. Trouble is, Liberalism died on 9-11. Oh, well. One day they will awaken to their demise, provided the National mood doesn't devolve into apathy, again.

They didn't want Ford. Maybe black America will stand up and start noticing that blacks aren't given positions of power over liberal elites.

I am shocked that Ford only received 29 votes! I expected this to be much closer...at least 75 - 25 %. In the end, Dems all drank the Kool-Aid!
To: TomGuy
This is just great news for us!
Go, Nancy, keep going left, bye!
To: TomGuy
It is good for out side. She will alienate a lot of people.
