The Socialists are in charge of the RATS now.

OMG! They want employers to offer pet health care insurance! They say pets are part of the family. They want an employer bennie package! Some employers are doing it rather than fight it!! (rush)

Number of homeless killed in San Francisco over the last 15 years through RAT-imposed "we care" policies: 1,844

Amount of money spent on the homeless issue by San Francisco last year: 200 Million Dollars

Latest impartial census of homeless in San Francisco: 5,376

Average amount of money spent on each "homelss victim": $37,202.00

San Francisco Liberal talk show host Bernie Ward (aka Jabba) response:

We need more money to solve the "problem" and the hotel industry should pay for it because they benefit most from a reduced homeless population...

That's the way to handle this one, Cat.

I ain't as rejoiceful over this as others may be. She'll have the media in her camp, be on TV more than "I Love Lucy."

This really means 2 goddam years of free Democrap commercials! Thing is, she'll be moderate and nice as pie on TV. She's a good looker, too. Let's not underestimate the enemy.

In the end, the Dems all drank the Kool-Aid.

I think Pelosi told them it was Merlot.

I think its odd too. Frost holds his own pretty well here in Texas and if he can do that he could have appealed to the crossover voters who have recently swung GOP. He spearheaded the Democrat's efforts in the House in 2000 with some success.

I think the Democratic leadership was sorely mistaken in choosing Pelosi over Frost. Probably some stupid reason like not wanting to have a middle-aged white guy as the House leader to contrast the Bush team or something.

This unity over competition carp really aggravates me. It would have been a boon of free publicity if they held a competitive three-way race or at least a run-off vote.

Interesting. But still Frost had to agree with withdraw from the race. I just don't understand what it takes to convince a politician, who tend to be assertive and competitive by nature, to just step down when they finally get a real opportunity to win the race of a lifetime. I'm assuming there's lots going on behind the scenes. Wouldn't be surprised to see that Hillary does have something to do with this. But Frost still had to agree to step down. That bothers me.

I also think that we should approach the democrats the way we would any wounded animal--what great care. These people are nasty and corrupt. They'll stop at nothing to once again claim power.

Exactly so.

By the way, according to Rush this afternoon, at least some of the liberals now wish to be referred to as "centrists." Look for that word to be appearing often in the media. Not a change of political orientation, mind you, just a change of label.

Wait. I thought there was some other woman (another "progressive") who got in the race at the last minute--so, I'm sure there's at least one vote for her...BTW, how many members of the Black Caucus are there?

Anyway, I would think the 29 who voted against Pelosi would be the more conservative members of the house, anyway.
