I got it from FrontPageMagazine.com. Then I remembered that Horowitz used to write for Ramparts. So this image could come from there. But now it's time for a 21st century update. We can use imagery, too.

It's not mine. However, if you see something in a similar vein shortly in the future, that will be mine.

This is amazing! I don't see any flag, nor anything similar to a flag. But others do. I can dig it.

Show him bitch slapping Tommy Daschle and it's a work of art on par with the Mona Lisa.

I like the flag on his palm.

The once bound hand is uplifted toward God; the unchained hand, bound in a fist; the backward glance/scowl (along with the knowledge of chains) suggests this person is more than "free;" he's angry and defiant, moving away from the direction where he was held captive. The fact that he's moving away also suggests that his fight will not be with his captives, directly; he has a mission, to go and tell others about where he's come from, why he's angry.
This all suggests to me he's going to rouse up others to join him in his righteous cause--going against his captives.

It looks like the guy just knocked someone's block off for trying to chain him.

Actually, I didn't know.....I was first following your directions, lol (giving honest opinion before reading thread, so I wouldn't be infuenced), then I read other comments afterwards (and saw yours). Guess great minds think alike? : )

The picture would be great with a caption to point the observer in the right direction.
Something that will connect with the target audience. Like, "Say no to Democrat plantation politics" or something young and hep. Youth are so quick that they like sound bites.

Please see #89. I threw out a suggestion for a slogan. Open for others.

Is that Abraham Lincoln I see there? You mean subliminally in the shading to the right? That's what I thought, too.

How about
"Break the chains of broken promises"
"Vote the party of Booker T Washington"
"Conserve freedom, vote Republican the American Party"
Just a few more considerations.

IDPA? Whatever that is. "International Defensive Pistol Association." The clue was "target paper." I'm suggesting that large, hostile, angry people make terrific targets. Hey, if you can be elliptical, we can be elliptical.

But now it's time for a 21st century update. Cool! Preserve the Retro quality of the image if you can.

I am writing this as soon as I see the pic to get the most accurate effect:
It looks to me like a strong, likely tall black man who is breaking the chains that are holding him back with an attitude of, "Don't tell me I can't!"
That's just me... now I have to read what other people put...
