As long as we get a Chaffee-proof majority we have a Dasshole-proof majority. We need one more, one more, one more!

G.B.B. -- While I'm DELIGHTED the stone b*tch widder may lose, it doesn't work that way (sorry to say).

In Missouri, BOTH the governor and the secretary of state must CERTIFY the results of a statewide election.

The problem will be that One-Term Bob (a.k.a. Governor Holden) won't certify until all the votes from Fraud Central (a.k.a. North St. Louis) have been counted 4 or 5 times, i.e NEVER.

Ergo, Talent will have to bring suit, and we're back to an imitation Florida.

Talent, btw, is FAR too gutless to challenge a narrow fraud-based victory generated from what STL police officers refer to as 'the jungle'.

DO NOT count any chickens here (I'd LOVE to see the Widder banished, but the RATS will make a REAL joke of the election -- even beyond the extent they have already done).

Now all we need are some strap on testicles for Lott. Hopefully the new senate majority will have more sense than to choose him.

You are way too funny! I wanted Nickles to run against him, but frankly I think the chances of recruiting someone to run against Lott with a historic two-seat pickup victory in the Senate or even a one seat pickup are slim. Also, I think there is a good chance taht the GOP picks up Louisiana in the December runoff. We really need to win that one along with CO, MN and SD which are all trending GOP but have not yet been called. If we win all three, we have our two seat pickup. The GOP electoral sweep will empower Bush. I just wish he hadn't given up on Bill Simon in CA which I think we otherwise would have won tonight!

I understand that the Constitution limits Senators to a 6 year term and Carnahan's succesor would serve more than 6 years.

This is a special election. Remember, Carnahan wasn't elected to her seat; she was appointed because her husband died. If her husband hadn't died, the seat wouldn't even be up for grabs right now. This election is to determine who gets to finish the remainder of the husband's term. The seat will be up for election again in 2006.

"Daschle Admits GOP will Likely win the Senate!"

God I hope that's true. I hope to see the last of Tiny Tom as a power in The Senate.

Trickle down is great!

Not only did a Republican Senator win, but GA has its first Republican Governor since the civil war and we kicked out our Democratic Speaker of the House in our state House.

Times are changing in Georgia!

He's changed his tune since he was on FOX earlier saying he would pick up "one more" (than what he has been working with). How sweet it is.

Not so. In this case Carnahan was appointed to fill a vacancy to the Senate. Her dead husband was elected as senator. Once a senator elect is determined by the voters then he, in this case, immediately fills the seat. It is different in MN since Ventura named a senator to fill the vacancy of Wellstone whose term exspires in January. The difference being that Wellstone was an elected setting senator. Ventura could have waited until after the election and named the winner to be seated immediately to fill the vacancy. But of course, he thought it would be Mondale, therefore he sought to screw the dem's for their sickening rally at Wellstones memorial.

I don't think so. The dem's were handed a very stern message today. They would be wise to not make a further spectacle of themselves by fighting another losing battle, just for spite. They have absolutely nothing to gain by doing so. They should now just regroup and realize that they have been following, carrying the water of WJC, who led them to this disaster.

I think the rest of the dem party will not want anymore of this kind of leadership, or they who are left, are next.

I think we will not be seeing much more of the likes of Carville, Begala etc. The dems now need to find their moral compass and get back to the people's business or they are doomed.

No more antics and no more drams from Dashle - just go away and shut up to all the wicked politicians. Thank GOD for His victory enforced throughout our government - may business be what should be from here on.

May they receive what they fear, for the good of all the country. As to his little prayer at the end, indeed GOD has helped us by getting them out of the "power" ride.
