Sean Hannity is a lightweight

Sean Hannity just finished interviewing Frank Lautenburg, the Dem relief candidate for senate from NJ. The old geezer ran circles around him. SH actually praised himself for being tough on him after the interview. I've heard about those who are slow on their feet but this guy's not even awake!

I was not a Hannity smackdown, that's for sure...however, I couldn't help but hear Loutenberg continually bring up class warfare over and over again...he was VERY good at spinning almost all questions into an answer that put the good light on him...Hannity did a reasonably good job keeping him in line, but, I thought it would have gone better....

I liked the George Washington quote bait-and-switch, but Hannity should have played it up a lot more.

Alan Colmes is a paid foil. Sean can't handle a real one.

Very dissapointed myself.

I didn't hear the interview but this surprises me. I was very disappointed in the Coleman / Mondale debate today. Sad to say but the old fart won. Coleman handled him with kid gloves while ol' Fritz was aggressive. Mondale wins tomorrow.

George Washington quote bait-and-switch

That cracked me up. The Lout' was a stammerin' at that one. "Uh.. we don't play those kind of games..."

I like Hannity, he's cool. No need to, as he says, "smack the opponent with a folding chair".

It reminded you of the cat (Lautenburg) chasing the dog (Hannity). A terrible show.

Sean doesn't respond very well other than using his standard remark over and over again. For instance, on the tax issue, when Lautenberg said 40% went to the top people and that's what has caused the deficit, Sean should have responded that the first of the tax cut went to low income people and only one year has gone into effect. That one year did not cause the deficit.

I also thought he let Lautenberg off too easily on the ANWR stuff as the Laut only talked about the Exxon Valdez. He also started bringing up drilling in other parts of the world. Sooooo, then drilling's okay but just not in our country? That doesn't do much for lessening dependence on foreign oil.

Sean didn't do very well in this interview.

Well that is your opinion, and it seems to be in the minority of opinion stated on FR.

Sean has a history of wussing out when it is time to step up to the plate with interviews of the opposition.

I would expect that to be the minority opinion stated on FR. But let's be realistic. The GOP is great at governing but lousy at campaigning. We need a pubbie version of the junkyard dogs James Carville and Paul Begala. We're gonna lose vital campaigns like this one until we quit rolling over and letting the Dim-o-rats kick our butts. Where is Lee Atwater when you need him? (Or do you remember who Lee Atwater is?)

Now that Hannity's popularity has soared and he's made it with book sales and all he will most likely lose his edge.

Who's an example of someone who's made it and still keeps the edge? Ann Coulter.

I've been taking heat on this forum for a while because I have always considered Hannity far from an intellect. He can't think on his feet, he is better formatted than my harddrive.
He just another pretty face. I doubt He has even voted until recently. He has got a seat on the roller coaster and making the best of it.

Attacking a democrat, let alone an old musty democrat on national radio, by a known conservative, never works. Didn't work for Lazio either, remember, when he had the temerity to actually cross the stage to had Hillary a piece of paper. He threatened her. The dems can and do do it but it's ok 'cause everbody knows how tough dems are. However, I believe that the citizenry are a little tired of it and we will find out tomorrow. Should that not be the case and all that the dems stand for is ok, OMG, please
help us! I do no think the democrats and their total lackof honestry is alright with most dems anymore.

I simply cannot understand how Sean Hannity has reached the level of popularity he evidently has arrived at (radio and TV!). I think his show moves like molasses. His positions are boring and his commentary repetitive. There are dozens of talk show hosts around the country that ABC/Disney could have promoted instead of this fool. Lowest common denominator.

Much like Bill O'Reilly trashed Peter Jennings for not coming on his program.

Then when Jennings did he turned O'Reilly every way but loose.

O'Reilly the blow hard "hemmed and hawed" all over the place while Jennings just sat there and smirked at him.

Jennings knew O'Reilly was out of his depth and played him like a minnow on a shark hook.

Finally O'Reilly told Jennings how much he admired him and wound up telling him he should go to work for Fox.

O'Reilly is so enamored with his own opinion of himself that he is like a bully on the playground filled with 5th grader boys.

Did you hear SH blow up friday, at the guy who accused bush of being a liberal, started rattling of bushes successes, and all SH could say was that he got a tax cut.

SH is a sycophant for the pubbies.
