More Crew to come...
Carnival's cruise ship Triumph docked at St. Thomas.
Ahoy, Freepers! Why not make your next year's vacation a FREEPER CRUISE? Can't think of a better idea!
United we stand for conservative activism AND some good old-fashioned fun, too!
This cruise thread will be running right up until embarkation day. It'll be packed with lots of information.
Post your enthusiastic comments here. Links are provided below for stateroom/fares information, registration form and
the Bahama Mama Q&A thread devoted solely to answers for all your cruise questions and to provide you with smooth sailing.
We strongly urge you to register ASAP. We need a certain number of registrations by a mid-January cutoff date
to ensure our reserved block of cabins with Carnival. From many communications we've received since last year's terrific cruise,
we're certain the interest is out there. We don't want to have to deep-six this event if we don't get enough registrations in a timely manner.
PLEASE NOTE to hold off on making your air tickets reservations until we give you the go-ahead.
We have more than ample lead-time for this cruise and you'll be able to get good air-fare bargains in plenty of time!
Since some air-transportation tickets are non-refundable, we don't want anyone to be left holding the ditty-bag.
As an incentive for early registration, the first 20 Freepers to get their reservations into the travel agency
will win their choice of five (5) sheets of Ocents.com stamp sheets (go to that website for Seeking the Truth's array of terrific stamps!)
They will also receive a usflagballoon.com pin courtesy of Abner (check out Abner's usflagballoon website
to view the colorful pin and some excellent pictures of the US Flag Balloon!) Registrations will be dated and time-stamped by the agency.
Winners will be notified and they'll receive their gift stamps and pins via mail.
We've got a great contest planned for later. A lucky winner will receive a FREE cabin for two!
Last year, the contest was won by our Freeper pal, Taxman. This time it may be you!
Bookmark this thread. We'll keep you posted as plans evolve. Register now for this fun-filled getaway in the sun!
Informal FRN meetings will be held on board which will be full of information and idea-sharing for effective conservative activism.
Rock the boat with your fellow Freepers! Climb aboard today!
This page is for about the cruise.
If you have questions, do not post them here.
Use the Bahama Mama link and ask them there.
Thank you!

My parents agreed to watch the boys for a week. No airfare for us and a free night in Jax. Whattyasay?

I'm a active NC Chapter (newly formed) FR member and vice president. My hubby is extremely quiet, conservative although not a FReeper and feels that this will be boring and a waste of money.
I desperately want to go on this cruise, we can afford it and I have asked my parents who live in Jax FL to babysit for the week and they have agreed.
Basically what I would like to know is what did the other "non freeper" spouses do on the last cruise during meetings etc?
I'm seriously trying to work on him here but not having much luck. I need your help.

Every morning, you'll find a newsletter under your cabin door. It contains an hour-by-hour schedule of all the things to do and where to go on ship to do them. He should find something of interest to hold him, and after a day or two, he'll really get into shipboard life and love it. You may never see him again!
On the other hand, some guys like to take a snooze while their wives are playing Bingo or doing a ladies-program thing. The beauty of it all is that it's a vacation and you do what you please.

I know he will find TONS of things to do but he's being stubborn on this one. I'll keep working on him. I really want this.

Cozumel and Grand Cayman are up and I just posted one on Ocho Rios. Take a gander! The link to Bahama Mama is near the top of this thread.

Good morning.
I'm not sure if I told you we are moving.
Anyway, we have been so busy in the evenings packing up boxes, etc. that I just plain forgot.
I will have to do some SWEEEET talkin' to get her to go for it!
(Cross your fingers... this sounds like a blast.)

You both can return super-buffed. ;-)
Freeps Ahoy! Bahama Mama! Thanks for all of your hard work on this.
Regards,
TS
Check out the Bahama Mama thread numbers 70 and 73 for roomie news. Keep checking both threads for more. I assume you filled in the "roomie" line on the registration form, also. Wanda does miracles in finding suitable cabin-mates. We're helping along here, also.

I'd enjoy taking part, but I always feel so sorry for those little skeet. It takes more than a thousand to make a pair of shoes you know.
Okay, okay... sounds like fun doesn't it. I'd enjoy that too.
One of the highlights of the last freeper cruise was a day on a beautiful tropical beach. A Free Republic.com banner was strung between a couple of palm trees. Members of our group sat at picnic tables or in lounge chairs scattered in our area.
The weather was perfect, brilliantly sunny, warm, with a nice little breeze wafting across the sand. Waiters were walking the beach offering cooling, creamy tropical drinks in attractive, take-home plastic tumblers.
Our gang got a beach volleyball game going, others rented jet skis, some swam, everybody table-hopped, making new freeper friends and yacking up storms.
It really was a fantastic day, just about perfect in so many aspects.
The Cruise Committee will try to work up a "FReeper Beach Party" for our day at Grand Cayman's beautiful Seven Mile Beach. What fun that will be!
I'm sure those of you who were at the beach party last time will remember the great time we had and share some of your recollections of it.

Happy wedding!

So happy you've taken the plunge!
