A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10/13/02

President Bush and First Lady Laura stayed in the nation's capital this weekend so Laura could finish up her National Book Festival yesterday. This morning, the first couple attended church services, and when asked by reporters to comment on the bombing in Indonesia, Bush called the act cowardly and urged the world leaders to once again unite in the global war against terrorism. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

**Re: 10 lb Bible. Remember the big one that the impreached one used to carry?
It looked like it came off his grandmom's coffee table.**
More likely it was from his mother's bar. Or next to her tout sheet.

Hmmm? Weren't the Aussies the first (after the UK) to step up and volunteer for the war on terrorism??
If so, it appears the terrorists are trying to make them regret that choice. Unfortunately, for the terrorists, this will just make the Aussies more resolute! Again, the terrorists have misjudged us. Amazing how "hatred" blinds people to the truth.

Yes, I read that. This radical islamic movement reminds me very much of the spread of Nazism in Germany in the 30s. It prays upon peoples weakness- spiritual, governmental, and socio-economic conditions, and brainwashes people into believing that it is the 'savior' for the masses. The Nazis blamed the Jews. The Radicals blame Christians.
Not only do I see a huge threat to the pacific rim, but my greatest fear is to see radical Islam take a foothold in Central America. Perhaps the Monroe Doctrine should be updated to include radical Islam.

Cyber, that's a good theory. But here's another one: They're trying to SCARE the Australians out of joining our President. Why else would they attack a French oiler? They assume the French will just throw up their hands and say, "PLease, leave us alone." I don't think the terrorists know how hard the Aussies fought on our side in WWII.

Here is a graphic I picked up from the freeper unifox. I think it is a most fitting poster for when the DU disruptors show up:

The French indeed may just throw up there hands in defeat, but don't bet on an Aussie or Kiwi doing that!

I think he has allergies. Remember when he sniffled during the debates and was accused by granny democrats that he snorted cocaine and that was why he sniffled. OH, brother, those nasty democrats will come up with some good ones.
Psalm 23---He guides me in right paths for his name's sake
Even though I walk in the dark valley I fear no evil; for you are at my side with your rod and your staff that gives me courage.
We must pray for our country, our president and our enemies. We can do all things in God b/c he strengthens us thru prayer and fasting.
I too feel that something is about to happen....

Maybe a replay of 'Jihad in America' is in order once a month on a cable news channel. Getting information out about who and what we are fighting is very important.

Thanks, rintense, for the nice Sunday surprise. Laura is truly a beautiful lady inside and out. Her quite strength shows through her twinkling eyes; she is a fine model of what the First Lady of this nation should be like. Pure and genuine in her intentions, a supportive and loyal wife. :-)

I'm wondering if there is any way to predict what country, or what country's interests, are being targeted.
In many cases it seems like a relationship to the United States.
Some countries have chosen to not be publicly supportive of either the war on terror and/or the opposition to Saddam Hussein. I always thought that was because they didn't want to be targeted. Yet we saw the French tanker hit, after France was so strongly against everything President Bush was trying to do.
Some in Australia have been strongly against President Bush.
I wonder if all this will change public opinion in some of these countries.
Rintense mentioned this in another post, does anyone else have any ideas? What are these terrorists trying to prove in regard to the attacks on other countries? Israel and the United States are plain to see, but some other countries are not so obvious.

Aw, Miss Marple! You can't be mean to that poor little rat. It's not his fault that he carries the plague! Why, look at that cute little nose and wiggly whiskers. He doesn't mean any harm!! We should be kind to rats instead of killing them---I mean come on, what did HE do!!
</insane animal rights activist rant>
Sad thing is--you know there are people out there that would agree with that statement!!

He may look a bit tired - or worried - but he still looks great! Love the ensemble too. Laura is lovely, as always.
We had company all weekend and I wasn't able to see any of the National Book Festival!
We have to take back the Senate. W needs more support. He shouldn't have to fight so dang hard for some of the things he wants, like Homeland Security and Terrorism Insurance, not to mention military expenditures. Sheesh...these dems are living in a dream world, thinking these things don't have to be done. Elections are only 3 weeks away. We need to work and pray HARD!!
TAKE BACK THE SENATE!!
