Democrats have, on repeated occasions, been unwilling or unable to articulate or advance a positive agenda and have resorted to desperate negative attacks for political gain. I recently wrote a commentary refuting the "chickenhawk" attacks that many liberals and Democrats have been using. It's my usual stuff. Some people will like it and others will think it's weak. I've linked it below.
Currently, I'm working on one about Mary Landrieu's attempts to portray herself as a "conservative Democrat." I may post it as a vanity here if it turns out well enough. I haven't posted a vanity in a month or so.

Yes, yes. This is more LIKE it! The whole "new tone" thing backfired completely when the attacks never subsided from the lamestream press. Now the RNC is seeing the light: efforts to appease the America-haters are seen as displays of weakness.
A step in the right direction. Question is, what do they intend to DO with the data?

Is Mary listed as a receiver of fetal tissue harvesting company campaign contributions, like Harkin, Boxer, Lautenberg, and other democrats are?

The data will go to Republicans across the Country to let them know it is time to attack the lies.
The Operations Research papers that I have been putting up on FR come from the Republican National Committee. The RNC headed by Chairman Racicot is not letting any grass grow under their feet.
This is the new and improved RNC and this from someone who refused to donate when Nicholson was there. The folks at RNC are doing a great job and will only get better with all the experience they are getting.

The Simon campaign (CA gov's race) will be calling every five minutes to report the latest Davis outrage.
To: PhiKapMom; Congressman Billybob
We should forward Congressman Billybob's suggestions regarding the photo of (CA Gov) Davis accepting a campaign check. Davis denies this took place on government property, the photo may tell a different story.
Let me know if you've already done this, Congressman. I would thoroughly enjoy calling Davis a liar, but I believe you're from California, so the honor of unmasking him should go to you.
In case any of you have missed the Davis photo thread, here it is.

The Dems are not being that original...they are using all of their usual scams. Lie about Social Security, try and scare the old folks--the same old tried and untrue tactics.
But IMO, their rhetoric has an even hollower ring than normal--I sense a real reluctance on the part of rank-and-file Dems to make much if any noise, or do much of anything.
Of course, I still expect plenty of activity at the end--they always manage to leverage their union volunteeers on Election Day, and they have lots of money too.
But they are wide open to aggressive and savvy campaigning by our troops, I believe.
Average Democrats don't really trust their own party on national security, and that is the underlying issue behind everything in American politics this year.

EV, you may have more faith in the democrat side of the electorate than is warranted.

Not really---but I'm working on the Senate race of Jay Wolfe here in WV, and this state is still filled with thousands of conservative Democrats...so perhaps my view is being a bit skewed by that.
But I think my point is valid...that even many traditionally Dem voters across the country really deep down in their hearts know that their leaders can't be counted on to protect the country.
Because of 9-11, the anthrax attacks, and the fear of further attacks, national security issues are hitting closer to home than ever. When your home, your family and your own community might be in danger, that tends to focus people's attention a bit better.
Hey, the President's high approval ratings aren't just coming from Republicans you know...there are a whole bunch of Independents and Dems represented by those numbers. They are the people I'm talking about.
