Critical Election Day Ballot Security Issues
In the 2000 election, questions of voter fraud by our opponents arose across the country. Because of this, we are making it our job to ensure that our opponents dont get away with ANYTHING on Election Night 2002. That is why we are asking our County Coordinators in West Virginia to do two very specific things in addition to the normal all-day operations of our Republican poll-watchers:
1. Legally, it is necessary that one specific individual in every precinct in the State from each of the two major parties be tasked to accompany the ballot box between the Polling Place and the CourthouseNEVER letting the ballot box out of their sight. However, experience tells us that in many cases Republican officials have been derelict in this duty--allowing Democrat officials to take the box to the Courthouse unaccompanied. To remedy this, we are asking that each County Coordinator task one reliable individual to:
a) talk to all of the Republican Precinct Poll Workers before Election Day to remind them that no ballot box can go out of the polling place to the Courthouse without escort by a Republican, and
b) that this same individual station themselves at the Courthouse on Election Night with a checklist--to ensure that a Republican shows up with each and every precinct ballot box. Any precinct that does not have a Republican escort should immediately be suspect and open to possible challenge.
2. We are asking our County Coordinators to task one highly competent and reliable individual with a video camera and a tripod to set up in the tabulation area of each and every Courthouse in the Stateand to leave the tape rolling from beginning to end of the tabulation process. Past history would indicate that the Democrats who run many of the tabulation operations in many of the Courthouses have allowed the tabulation areas to turn into a party atmosphere, creating a climate that is open to abuse of the counting process. Our experience also is that the presence of a running camera almost automatically creates a serious and secure environment for this most critical of processes.
This same individual, or the County Coordinator, should inform Courthouse officials and/or law enforcement before Election Daymaking sure they understand that it is legal and right for us to do so.

Government by the people and for the people, neither of which can be assured without the efforts of the people.

Thanks for posting this. These are very good guidelines for any county in any state!
In 2000 we elected our first Republican in history to the Bastrop County Commissioners Court. (anyone in Texas can tell you just how crooked Bastrop Co. is) We did this by keeping on top of EVERY action by the democrats. We won by only 6 votes and as we figured our demonrat opponent called for a recount the next day... We were ready. The same day a few of us went to the courthouse where the ballots were being stored (specifically the county judges office who was demonrat) and took pictures from every angle of the boxes, showing which precinct box numbers, their exact location within the stack of boxes, tag locations etc... Needless to say the democrats were FURIOUS and complained we were accusing them of cheating.
At the recount we made sure half of the counters were ours as well as brought in a lawyer and advisors from the state party.
As the recount progressed our lead had been cut down to 1 until the very last box where 11 votes were found for now Republican County Commissioner Loucks
Gee wonder why the election tally'ers didn't find them the first time? *sarcasm*
IT DOES PAY TO BE VIGILANT!
They came close to stealing this election from the Republican and we're sure they are going to try this again. If they do it here I am sure they do it all over Texas and in other states. REPUBLICANS BEWARE! DEMOCRATS CHEAT!

Excellent ideas all. I wonder though if the polling places that need video taping the most will have the loudest voices protesting the camera.

What do we do about those who vote multiple places? I think one way to at least try to bring this out into the open is to get photos of these exact people going in to vote in more than one precinct. We can't catch them all, but if enough evidence is presented and if either the local prosecutor or a newspaper (as if) picks up on it, it'll bring the issue to light. Because bringing it to light is the only way that the sheeple will demand solutions such as requiring a positive ID when voting and having advance registration required before the election. Each election.
That means that someone with a very long telephoto lens is going to have to take a chance and follow voters all day, getting a ton of wasted pictures to catch one or two cheaters. Its a big effort IMHO, but quite possibly worth it. And, of course, quite a few of those that show up at two places will not be fraud but simply someone that showed up at the wrong precinct.
I suspect that way too many demo voters are completely unaware of what their party is doing. They are just sheep, voting the union line.

We did this by keeping on top of EVERY action by the democrats. We need more whiffs of fascism!
Gerold Nadler (D-NY), referring to pro-Bush demonstrators, detected the "whiff of fascism". Did you pass gas, Gerold?
