The US Flag Balloon will be attending the 29th Annual National Balloon Rally in Statesville, NC this weekend.

Flights are as follows(all weather permitting):
Friday AM- Sunrise media flight
Friday PM- About 6:00PM
Saturday PM- About 6:00PM

If you live in the Statesville area, come on out and help crew or just watch the balloons! We will be handing out pocket Constitutions and flying the flag.

This weekend our crew chief will be none other than Taxman! So watch out for pics of him throughout the weekend. Hopefully if I ask Dixie Sass really nice, she will do some video taping for me... .

You will be able to find us. When the balloon isn't up, you can't miss the vehicles.

Florida in April sounds good to me. Hope it's on the gulf side, teehee. If you do Lisle, Illinois for the Eyes to the Skies festival, I'll be able to catch it there also in all likelihood.

Actually, we will be having a real remote control one built. One that is fabric, runs on propane and has a basket.

WOW.....I'd love to come.

I'll see if I can talk mykdsdad into it, looks like about a 2 1/2 hour drive for us. Saturday would be the only possible day we could make it. Hopefully the weather will be good.

Wind is also a significant factor. Wind dies down at sunset and it is safe to fly, but if winds are gusting during the day we probably won't fly.
