Hopefully, I'll be savoring some enjoyable primary results from around the country. I'll be sticking pretty close to FR just to make sure that the bad guys haven't tried anything.

Working. The only appropriate way I could see to "commemorate" 9/11 is by purchasing a new American flag to replace the one flying since 9/11/01...so that will be done as a family before the kids go to school.

I will be taking part in a commemoration ceremony here at my base.
I will be an element leader in our flight as we pass in parade. At 7:46 CT the flag will be lowered, and will then be folded in a 13 step folding ceremony. A lone bugler will play taps followed by a 21 gun salute. The flag will then be retired, and a new flag will be raised to half-staff. We will also be singing God Bless America and the National Anthem.
I am very proud to have been selected to take part in this ceremony, and will remember all of the fallen heroes iun my prayers.

Studying for a Spanish Exam tomorrow night. I will have my own moments of silence and prayer at the times the planes hit the Towers and the Pentagon. This is an emotional time... God Bless America. God Bless our Troops. May God comfort those who mourn.

are you from Cicero? (whats up with the town president? I was in Oak Park a few weeks ago...any update?)
To: KneelBeforeZod
No, I'm from southern Indiana. Evansville.
I've been in Chicago this week visiting friends and camping in Wisconsin.

So will my husband.

Thinking about my friend, John Willett, who died a year ago at the hands of those maniacs and presenting the ideas for my dissertation before the faculty. I always thought that such a meeting was a big deal, but in light of the former, the latter seems so trivial.

I'll be at work out here on the Left Coast as usual. First thing I'm going to do is call my daughter back in VA. My son-in-law was and still is stationed at the Pentagon; he was there on that day. This is going to be a difficult day for them.
We're having a Commemoration Ceremony and a moment of silence at work. We're also all going to wear red, white and blue. My screen saver has all week been showing pictures of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, before and after September 11.
