#1 WEB SITE FREEREPUBLIC.COM CANNOT BE BEAT FOR NEWS AND ACTIVISM

Freerepublic.com is the #1 stickest web site on the internet can't be beat for news first and activism with success after success. When people get here they stay and become a part of the political force for change that is freerepublic.com.

Thanks to Jim Robinson and John Robinson for giving America a place where they can be a part of something much bigger than themselves. Where when you leave all you think about is getting back to the republic and your friends and fellow freepers. It is exciting and full of news you don't get anywhere else. Why do you think Drudge Report doesn't link here? I am willing to say it is because we are his source. That is just a guess. Matt can correct me if I am wrong of course.

Ann Coulter the number 1 bestselling author is a freeper who says we make her happy and that is something most NORMAL FREEPERS go away from here with, is happiness.

So as you cruise the site and talk with friends and tell others about the best conservative web site remember it is all because of Freepers hard work and dedication to Freerepublic. And of course the hard work of Jim and John Robinson.

There are many A FreeRepublic wanna be out there but None, not ONE even comes close to the #1 FreeRepublic...

because I've met so many wonderful, knowledgeable, fabulous people

Not only that, but you met us here, too!

FR is the only site I visit multiple times a day, every day. And I have been doing it for year after year. It is THE source for news.

"Stories found here often may never make national news, or are hidden by the liberal media."

The opposite also happens regularly. I think some of the more conservative types in the media "mine" this forum for angles and stories. More than once I have read an article on a subject after FR has tore into it and lifted ideas directly without attribution. That is okay with me. I want to see the mainstream stealing our ideas.

I have been readibg FR since it was called Whitewater Files. I never watch TV for news unless I am computer deprived. You get more news and freewheeling analysis here than any place on the planet.

Addicted to FR bump

I like FR because I can participate in great discussions. I always felt as if I didn't belong or as if I were the only one with my opinion at other forums. Here, we get the information as it's happening, not days or weeks later. Here I can learn so much about so many things. I am so glad I found all of you.

Free Republic is the world's best bu//$#!+ detector. Posted articles are regularly dissected with extreme thoroughness by incredibly smart and knowledgable FReepers. The ongoing news analysis really shows the bankruptcy of the lamestream media.

It's great!

I'll second that. I'm all-the-time seeing items on Fox News Channel, where I think, "Hey, that was on Free Republic lasat night!" H&C, Brit, Shep, all of those shows.

Freerepublic has totally weaned me from boobtube news and taught me a great deal about how the political system works.

Another plus, the people that populate this site come from all walks of life and careers. As a working Joe, it really excites me to read commentary from journalists, scientist, writers, etc... Minds that I otherwise would not have direct access to.

Plus, I must echo FreedomPoster's statement about using the commentary after the articles to disseminate what is pasture fodder and what is not.

Big salute and thanks to Jim and John Robinson, both Great Americans.

This is a fantastic site.

Also, I like the idea of the media using ideas presented here for their stories.

However, I believe that they should clearly and explicitly credit FreeRepublic.com when they lift ideas from this site.

Why? Well, how many new members and donors does this site lose out on because the audience of Fox - for example - never realizes that a piece they're seeing is based on content that first appeared on FreeRepublic.com?

"The only downside, is that at times, free republic gets a little to down or pessimistic. It would be nice to see positive news and positive feedback over anything good that is happening with conservatives"

Maybe you have not gone over to the "Day in the Life of President Bush" threads. There is a ton of positive information shared there.

Also, you probably know this, but do a search for everything JohnHuang2 writes - posts - and you will find more "positives" - especially his "2 cents".

There are others who can be counted on to be "bringing news about good things happening with conservatives"....so keep searching. It's all here.

During the election I found out from Freerepublic way before the news media reported it that Florida really was not Gore's and was going to Bush. It was a powerful moment where everything I was conditioned to believe turned out to be a manipulated lie. The internet has made folks like Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw and Peter Jennings obsolete. Long live Freerepublic

DITTO - DITTO - DITTO. I found FR shortly before the 2000 election and it was a lifesaver. The people here are awesome - research "king" backhoe should be used by Bush & the GOP (I've told them that too!), JohnHaung2' s words of wisdom should be in every newspaper/media across the country (I send them out on a regular basis!) - the list goes on and on.

But the thing I like the most is WE TAKE ACTION!! While I appreciate Rush, Boortz, Sean on talk radio - I can't sit and just listen. Here on FR we ACT to save our country.

But my greatest appreciation goes to Jim & John Robinson for their hard work and dedication (and all the others working for FR). It would be a sad day for us and our country to lose FR - that's why I signed up for monthly payments to FR - I urge all to consider doing the same. It takes $$ to keep us going. Just stop and think what it would be like if there was no FR. Sorry, didn't mean to come off like a fund drive - but I can't think of a better place to put my money!

I can get bashed verbaly here so that I can aim my sights better. And once that is done, I can bash idiotic disruptors. It's just a form of jurisdictional assertion.

Last but not least, we are developing here, OPEN SOURCING the perfect algorithm and machine against liberal and leftist lunacy and worships. It's just great.

I was at work when the towers were attacked. I turned to the FR for news. TV, raio, Drudge, etc were all scrambling and messy.

News aside, these are the three folks who influenced my political thinking - Milton Freidman, Wm F Buckley, & Jim Robinson.

Same thing at my office on September 11th. There was a bunch of Engineers walking around with misinformation and discussing the logistics of planes hitting buildings. I was on FR and watched a streaming video link of the first tower coming down. I went down the hall and announced what I had seen and several people, who finally got onto CNN, MSNBC, etc., corrected me that the building had been hit by a plane; that it had not fallen.

I told them that I SAW it fall. Then I introduced them to FreeRepublic.com. I was ahead on the news of every non-Freeper that day.

During the election even the President of my company would ask me to verify a bit of information announced on the news. I would resume the always open FR tab, perform a search and give him and others the real skinny.

Thanks Jim.

Stay safe; stay armed.

***FR is the first thing I fire up in the morning, (even before coffee)***

Unless you mean logging on the computer WHILE waiting for the coffee to brew (I surf on an old Pentium with a dial up modom so I can brew a whole pot just during the log on process) that level of devotion would better be termed an addiction. A healthy one, but an addiction.

Hope you stay addicted for many years to come.
