I Walked into a Crowd of War Protesters with my Sign

BOMB IRAQ

A few hours ago I was driving down my main street and I saw war protesters lined up in the commons protesting the up coming war with Iraq. I pulled around and parked in the parking garage and walked up to main street to a office supply store and purchased a poster board and marker and made my sign. I sat in the aisle and made the sign.

I walked out to the protesters and unfolded the sign and stood there. You would of thought a army had gone against them. They jerred me with will you look at that Bomb Iraq that is disquesting. One or two of the commies walked over and said they wanted to talk it over. I let them rant on while holding the sign up for all to see.

There were many thumbs up and horn blowing from people driving by. A War Vet and a few others came over to say what I was doing was right and Iraq must be stopped. Of course that began a war of words with everyone trying to shout out their side of the matter. The protesters tried to bring up Scott Ritter and all his BS. It did not work.

Finally most of them gathered their signs and left and it was just me and a few of the people that suported what I was doing and one war protester. Finally he was out numbered and left. He said they were finished with the protest anyway. LoL....

All in all it was a good day to protest the commie rats and their Anti-American spew....

True. And lots of Americans were against going to war with Hitler...

The only reason we would be going to war with Iraq is because countries like Saudi Arabia think he's a pain in the @$$ or because it might have something to do with the infamous Caspian Oil pipeline (just a wild hunch of mine). It's not about terrorism. If we was we would be in other countries first, taking them out...and we wouldn't criticize Israel when they went after them! AND we would be securing our own borders...where the hell do you think the anthrax came from? Iraq? Why was Atta allowed in this country? Oh, yeah, the INS. Saddam didn't do that. It was us, the US who let these terrorists infiltrate our country. THINK, dammit, think!

Lets see if you feel the same when the body bags start getting used up and our Middle Eastern 'allies' still jail Christians and etc...and when your taxes go up and oil prices go up...and places like Kuwait (who we fought for, to 'democracize' them) won't even let us use the air bases there! Real thankful to us over in the Middle East, aren't they????

WHY? Why in the hell would you want to spend only God knows how much money, subject our troops to a potential chemical and biological warfare response from Iraq, spike oil prices, worry/involve our European allies, be in Iraq for years if not decades as 'peacekeepers', have God knows how many of our young people in the military die, thin out our resources, stir up more conflicts in the Middle East.....WHY? For what good reason?

Because if we don't, the potential for chemical and biological warfare occurs HERE. You think we are going to be 'left alone' if we just sit here and say nice things?

From the Rush Limbaugh archives:

Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iraq.
Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iraq.
Oh bomb Iraq, take Kuwait back, Bomb Iraq,
Try to free Kuwait before it's too late,
Bomb Iraq. Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iraq.

Old Khomeni might have been zany,
But Saddam Hussein seems to be twice as insane.
Bomb Iraq, take Kuwait back,
If Hussein wants a duel turn him into fossil fuel.
Bomb Iraq. Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iraq.

"Yakety Yak, Bomb Iraq":

"This crazy man named Saddam Hussein
Ain't no doubt that the man's insane
He better get used to feeling fright
In from the south, put out his lights.
Yakety yak, bomb Iraq."

"He must have been an only son
Growing up and playing with guns
Came into power, came into wealth,
Look out your window, check out the Stealth.
Yakety Yak, bomb Iraq."

"A man possessed by his own greed,
Ignores his country's desperate needs,
We ain't going to cut you any slack,
Look at his palace, now it's a shack.
Yakety yak, bomb Iraq."

"Big ground forces rolling in,
Your own troops know you cannot win,
Don't get too comfy in your pad, Whoops - there goes Baghdad.
Yakety Yak, Bomb Iraq."

"I can't believe you're still alive
Feeding your people all that jive.
The USA won't take no flak,
Here comes another air attack.
Yakety Yak, bomb Iraq.
The USA won't take no flak,
Here comes another air attack.
Yakety Yak, bomb Iraq."

It is deep in the heart of hillary country and I am not sure of the sponser of the group. They were older people 40's and up liberal teacher types. The youger people were the ones that joined me against them.

I can think of a quick, cost-efficient way to wipe out Iraq without subjecting a single US soldier to the possibility of any chemical or biological warfare. Something of the nuclear variety would do nicely.

No ! My opinion was what kind of reply it was; NOT an opinion ( insult )regarding the poster of it. OTOH, he continually makes personal attacks against me and others, whom he disagrees with. These are two entirely different things.

His first post, to TBLSHOW, was NOT about what TBLSHOW had said; rather, it was about TBLSHOW, himself. His posts , to me, are also in that same vein.

Fortunately, whether you're convinced or not will have no bearing on the decision.

Did you get pictures of any of their signs? That would be a tipoff. The IAC and ANSWER always have theirs professionally printed, on yellow (I couldn't make this up if I tried).

, but if the USA is going to be true to its motto of stomping out terror wherever it exists, then I firmly believe Saudi Aradia should be first on our list.

But we tell Israel to give peace a chance?

Yes, I agree about Saudi Arabia.

Why are we refusing Iraq's offer to allow inspectors into Iraq? I thought that is what we were mad about.

"The potential for chemical and biological warfare" would still be a threat to us. Don't you think that maybe there are other countries with those capabilities? Maybe Saddam has some of that technology or at least the directions on how to process it in some other country somewhere as well. What proof do we have that he is planning to attack us with this stuff? None as far as we've been told. Perhaps if we attack Iraq, he WILL use those types of weapons on Americans because he'll figure he has 'nothing to lose'.

Something of the nuclear variety would do nicely.

Oh, sure. Lets just go drop a nuke on a million innocent people, who haven't done anything in particular to harm us, because 'we don't like' their 'leader'. The founding fathers would be turning in their graves if they could hear remarks like that...

WE are refusing, because it is a fraud. This is just a paltry ruse ( Saddam would hide his stockpiled weapons, as he has done over and over again ), in response to our saying that we're going back over there. He puts time limits and place limits, on where and when the inspectors can go.

I agree. A few thousand tons of high explosive would do just as well, and without the negative PR that nukes seem to attract.
