A handful of us have said from Day One that Elizabeth's eyes in her photos look sad, at the very least, resentful, etc etc at worst. Her smile almost always seems forced, her eyes dead. We've been flamed to Mormon hell so many times, we're not stating the obvious any more, but it is obvious tht something absolutely reeks about this case and has since the beginning. Escort services, drugs, bondage, angelic little girls stressed to the max....it's beginning to add up and it's not a pretty picture. So sad!
You're right. I lost my temper on Illbay and my post #45 was rightly deleted. He's banned now for his later posts to others, but I hope it's only temporary.
Many of us are parents and this is a parents' worst nightmare. This girl has been gone for so long, it doesn't look good, but we must still hope and pray for her. Also for her younger 9 year-old sister who has gone through so much.
The allegations are quite sensational and the ramifications are too disgusting to contemplate.
I wonder sometimes if I were in the Smarts' position (hoping and praying that it never happens), what details about my life would surface that people would misconstrue.
That is a great idea...I hope they record him before he dies from his illness. It could happen.
Aside from that, I just had this thought. I am somewhat surprised that a 14 year old girl of her familes financial means did not have a telephone extension in her room. If I were Mary Katheine, I too would have been scared to death to leave the bedroom, but if I had a phone I would have found calling 911 a possible option.

This case is a bit weird - hence the off the wall speculation (IMO). Suppose you're a criminal. If you want to kidnap a girl, why on earth would you pick SLC where about a gazillion volunteers would be on the lookout for you and neighbors take notice? Why not pick LA or Miami where girls disappear all the time?
I still hold out hope and pray that Elizabeth is OK and will escape unscathed. But this case is just plain weird. IMO. Your mileage may vary...

The house was apparently listed for sale, so there may have been many persons looking at the home.
The house had apparently had a lot of remodeling work, so any number of workers could have been in the house.
Now why would Mexicans want to kidnap Elizabeth? Don't they have enough problems trying to dodge INS and learn English?

I am planning a little 4th of July BBQ for the neighborhood kids and we will pray for Elizabeth and children like her that have fallen prey to predators.
God loves children and so do I.
Little sister said the abductor was soft spoken and polite!!
