[NORTH TEXAS CATHOLIC FREEPERS] Bishop Bruskewitz, Michael Rose Headline Pre-USCCB-Conference Panel
Catholics United for the Faith, St. Stephen the Martyr Chapter ^ | 2002.06.10 | Catholics United for the Faith

Posted on 06/10/2002 11:44:50 AM PDT by B-Chan

Attention, North Texas Catholic Freepers and others: Catholics United for the Faith, St. Stephen the Martyr Chapter, will be sponsoring a panel discussion on the topic "The State of Catholicism in the United States and the Bishops' Conference in Dallas" on Friday, 14 June 2002 at 7:00 p.m. The panel, which will be held in the auditorium of St. Therese Academy in Irving, Texas, features the following distinguished speakers:

Russell Shaw, author and frequent contributor to Crisis Magazine

Philip Lawler, editor of Catholic World Report

Helen Hull Hitchcock, Editor, Adoremus

Leon Suprenant, National President, Catholics United for the Faith

Michael Rose, noted author of Goodbye, Good Men

Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz, Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska

A lineup like this obviously is not to be missed! Coming as it does on the eve of the USCCB conference at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, this panel discussion is sure to be informative, enlightening, and inspiring.

The pro-sodomy, pro-modernist lobby will be well represented on the streets outside the Fairmont. Will orthodox, traditional Catholics? Any Freepers interested in getting together at this event, or who have plans to attend or demonstrate outside the USCCB conference, please contact me by FreepMail or here on this thread.

Yours in Christian Fraternity,

B-chan

Phil Lawler is the former editor of the Boston Pilot, the archdiocesan newspaper and ceased serving in that capacity as a result of his commitment to tell the truth about the already festering scandals years ago. He has also been arrested in abortion mill Rescues defending the babies from being dragged to their deaths and he authored a book on Operation Rescue. He is a first rate Catholic and a first rate man. I think he still lives in Massachusetts. He can be contacted through Catholic World Report which he has ably edited for years.

to counter the "Call to Action" and "Catholics for Free Choice" creatures that will no doubt be there.

If the bishops had any "cajones" they would have excommunicated these heretics a long time ago and we wouldn't have to worry about them. The bishops are responsible for the mess we're in.

He is a most wonderful man, and one of the most faithful Catholics I have ever had the privilege of knowing.

There has been all sorts of chatter and rumors flying that the media will "out" a Cardinal in the Church as an active homosexual of some type. Supposedly, O'Reilly hinted at this on FOX television.

And which Cardinal has the inside track. Mahoney? Certainly not Law or Eagan.

O'Reilly has been going on about this "bomb-shell," for quite a while. The story originally appeared in the NY Post, on Page Six, which said that one of the Cardinals in the USA is an active homosexual. I've been surprised no details besides what was in the NY Post and what O'Reilly has been hinting about have been revealed about this story. O'Reilly, on his radio show, even got Bill Donohue, the President of the Catholic League, to admit he had heard about the story and knew some details. I pray that the media isn't going to release this story tommorow or in the near future just to create some news.

I thought I heard O'Reilly say it was going to be the Washington Post that was going to break the story, though.

Here's the link to EWTN's World Over Live Program.

R. Arroyo recently conducted a WOL interview (6-7-02) with Fr. Richard John Neuhaus, editor of the magazine, First Things - the Journal of Religion and Public Life. The WOL show was entitled 'The Crisis in the Church'.
Fr. Neuhaus' thoughts on this subject are captured in his excellent article on his First Things website...

'Scandal Time'

This 'must read' article is the most thoughtful, theologically and historically comprehensive treatment I have read on this current crisis in the RC Church.

Just got this in my email --

I will be attending the US bishops' conference meeting in Dallas this week, and sending back frequent reports. We will be posting those reports periodically throughout the day, each day, on our web site. See the latest of my Postcards from Dallas at (http://www.cwnews.com/promo/promopage.cfm).

God bless,

And, curiously enough, none of these people have appeared on MSNBC's or CNN's coverage. Big shocker. Meanwhile, members of Dignity USA were interviewed representing "American Catholics."

Yeah, big surprise there. Hollywood and the Media love homos. Would somebody please explain to me why the people who support the anal rape of children are considered the Good Guys?

Oops! You used the magic "a" and "r" words - i.e., anal rape. Apparently, we're not supposed to talk about what actually happened. We're supposed to pretend that isn't "homosexual" if the raped is under 18 according to the Dignity propagandists being identified as "Catholics" by MSNBC and CNN. Who do we call to complain?
