I am enclosing an email I received from an Australian doctor who has been living in Israel for the past seven years and who just recently married a cousin of mine.

It is in the middle of a statement he made about where they had gone to have a reception. I noticed the word "ILLUSION" too. Guess we both caught the "irony" of that statement.
I've never seen a better explanation of what I'm coming to know about that region.

I have asked. They know that they have the moral support of most of the people of the USA. They do not want, under any circumstances, military personnel from other countries, especially the US to intervene. The Israelis feel they have the strength to handle the situation and the last thing that they want is an American soldier getting killed in the Middle East. They also feel that Bush is doing the right thing - nothing - because he understands that the Israelis are fighting terrorism and that if it isn't stopped by Israel it has the possibility of spreading to other western countries, including the US.
However, the Israelis feel the American nnd European press are very biased in favor of the Palestinians and that they are unable or unwilling to discern the difference between legitimate warfare the the murder of innocent women and children who are not combatants. The Israelis say they can certainly understand why the press from Moslem countries would be biased in favor of the Palestinians, but can't understand why the Western press - from countries who value life, truth and democracy - would be so biased.
You are so right. If the radical Muslims see that suicide bombing can bring a country down or can cause its morale to sink, you will see suicide bombers in US cities. Israel is bringing a lesson to the Muslims that suicide bombing doesn't pay, and is letting them know that if they love death so much, Israel will facilitate their achieving that. The sad truth is that if the Muslims loved life and wanted a high quality of life, Israel would facilitate their achieving that as well. I guess they have made their choice.

I can't tell you the "why" of this, but it is true, and something I saw with my own eyes as it happened.
America's press used to be almost embarassingly pro-Israeli, but somewhere between 1967 and 1973, it went to the opposite view, seeing the Israelis as oppressors and the Arabs as victims.
This reminds me of the way he used up all the cruise missiles for one of his little escapades. (I'm not going to write what I'm thinking...I promised God I wouldn't talk like that any more...)

Israel must Protect herself from anyone who works Evil and Destruction against her.
As for the Pallie...actually Arab Victims, they have Always been miserable whinning, pathetic psychophants...and Professional Victims.
