He's a better man than me ... I wouldn't be able to engage in congenial banter with that snake.

Actually, when I was a boy (late 1940's) it was a very common saying when refering to "uninvited guests" and sundry .....Hmmmmmmm,...shall we say, "Unwelcome relatives".
My Granny (And my Mom) used the "stealing the silverware" analogy many, many times. Hell, Lot's of people did back then. It was very common
(*gasp* My, how things have changed....)

i was not saying fr first invented the saying, however we were the ones to bring back its popularity in reference to the democrats especially referring to our inaugural ball this year!

i too get a humongous kick out of watching him speak, especially now that he doesn't fumble and give the rats a chance to attack his obvious intelligence.

Re: Rush lurking on FR.
A couple of years ago, I was reading FR and listening to Rush (live) at the same time. I just happened to be reading a posted reply from someone, and Rush was saying the exact same thing, word for word, as I was reading. It was over a paragraph long.

Any KID with a belt buckle that size got it for being the TOUGHEST kid in the arena. It's probably a championship bullriding or bareback bronc buckle. Anyway, W should hire these little rascals for his Secret Service detail.

"What was Monica Lewinsky's position?" Kneeling.

Crazy? Busy? Or Both? :P Just kidding. Good to see you back to posting mode in FR.

"I can hear the chill in her voice, too -- a woman with no sense of humor."
. . .probably had more than a ring of truth to it; hard to laugh if the joke is on you. . .
Now, if they would address the same with Bill and Hill; that would be great humor as well; and Hillary would be just as ticked.
You are right as well about boxing those 'treasures' up. . .if the stuff is not stashed somewhere by now; it is probably on the way. . .
