Screw these people Jim.

The last temper tantrum Arator had at my place, I did not bann him, I just dogged him out big time by laying it out exactly what I thought of him and vamoosh! he's gone. Most of the folks are not about the issues, most of these folks are all about themselves period.

The other websites stole a concept(not the code, the idea) and grew by putting your organization down. As stated at my place, I would rather shut down completetly than grow on your misfortune or by placing you in the cross hairs...no, don't shut down, start a counter attack.

I have been banned, I have had a black eye, I have had my problems staying a good boy here...bottom line is if I know to mind my Ps and Qs, these morons can also.

LG and her band of whatevers continually put you down, and you never have anything bad to say about them. WE ALL KNOW THE SITUATION when she started up over there, and I for one do not even give her a single hit because of it. But that is just me.

If you go down, do not go without a fight...

I could go on, but you have a lot of ground to cover on this thread already. Just offering my few cents.

Tim

FR Rocks--love it or leave it! I vote for option number three. Make it better, like it used to be.

There is still a lot of value here, but it used to be better. Quality people with inspired minds, discussing events and learning from each other. Now you find 200 post threads with nothing but one liner insults.

Your post #808 echoed my sentiments exactly and in particular the above quote.

FREE REPUBLIC is exactly that - free! Freedom of thought, freedom of opinion, freedom of expression.

This is the only forum I know of in which participants are allowed to post their views and/or announcements as articles.

Free Republic is as important as Rush, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity in spreading the word!

Make freerepublic a for-pay site. One must pay at least $5 every second month to be in the game. $30 per year from each....with many giving more..... should cover it.

$30 x 10,000 paying to post freepers comes out to $300,000 per year. A good start! You will lose $20,000 processing this money so make it $280,000 for the take.

KEEP FREEREPUBLIC.COM!

You definitely have my vote. Is there any way to send in a donation by mail? We don't use plastic over here...

If you already answered, apologies... I couldn't read all 800+ posts at once...

Also, what about banner ads?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not wealthy enough to do more than throw a drop in the bucket every once in awhile.

However, this Free Republic is the most useful newsgathering medium, and the most useful political outlet I have *ever* seen. I would be at a complete loss as to what to do if it weren't here. However, there might be a crippling, compromise solution...is it possible to move FreeRepublic to a moderated newsgroup to reduce costs?

Please don't take my Free Republic away.
