Talk show host Tom Sullivan just reported that during a press conference Gov. Davis said he was notified that there is evidence that terrorists plan to target the Coronado Bridge (San Diego), the Golden Gate & Bay Bridges (San Francisco) and an LA Bridge (didn't catch the name) tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 2nd.

Too bad we can't get them to divert their attention to Clinton's bridge to the 21st century. That's one bridge I'm thinking we could live without.

Couldn't agree with you more! Too many people crying wolf thinking that every blurb they hear is real. I'm not entirely sure which is worse, the threats being made or the people repeating them at every chance.
From suitcase nukes, to dirty nukes, to car bombs, to smallpox, to cropdusters, to you name it. Sheesh folks, get a grip.
I agree with Ollie North, if they would've had anything more potent than crashing airplanes into buildings, they would've done it by now.

Yes. And September 11, 1922 was the date of the start of the British mandate for Palestine which was the implementation of the Balfour declaration.
and wasn't 9/11 also the day that the Israeli athletes were murdered at the Olympics?

There are many bridges in LA already that are already have been hit by surgical strikes. Ask any plastic surgeon.

But one Japanese battleship is less damaging to our econmy than one hundred thousand cars ...... and four hundred thousand containers of imported Japanese electronics.

FOXNEWS John Bishop just reported this ,.!
The Bridge in Los is the Vincent Thomas bridge in the Long Beach Harbor area!
To: Southack
You've got a good point there. I spent my time doing bumper to bumper from the Inland Empire to Brentwood for work back in the 80's. I guess I was still thinking airplane rather than truck bombs, etc.

as soon as as finished wiping that egg off his face
Illbay is orrysay.

According to the original post, the news came from Gov. Davis. The radio host just reported it.
So if this press conference did happen (do we have independent confirmation of that, anyone?) then it isn't the rantings of some loony. (Wait. Davis is loony, but in a different way.)
Tom Sullivan is a radio host in Sacramento, by the way. He does a daytime show, so he's not loony enough to be put on the overnight shift.
And there is a bridge in LA, as others have pointed out.
Would dropping it harm shipping into and out of the Long Beach and LA ports?
Certainly going after the Bay Area bridges is an obvious possibility.

Coronado Bridge makes a lot of sense. Take that down, and you trap the Pacific Fleet (whatever is left in port) at their docks.

Yes, but why would the terrorists risk pissing off all their loyal liberal supporters in Berkeley and LA? I would not be surprised, if the local liberals stood on the side and cheered these wackos. Anything against the USA, they will be happy, not pissed.

there is also a bridge into Pasadena
That would be
"Suicide Bridge", as we called it when I was a wee little Redcloak. An obvious choice for the average Jihadist!

They just said the attack could happen anytime between Nov. 2nd and Nov. 7th. That's hilarious.
Originally it was Oct. 29 to Nov 2.
Now it's Nov. 2 to Nov. 7.
Next week it will be Nov. 9 to Nov. 14.
You know, I can see where this is going.
Someone wants to be able eventually to say, "See? I knew it!"

Ahhhh...so now we have details for the reports this morning that Navy Seals were guarding the base in San Diego. It's all starting to make sense now.
