Ok, you don't win anything, but I thought it might be fun to make up some Haiku about Bin Laden, the Taliban, terrorists, or anything related.
Here's the rules:
3-short lines
no rhyme or metaphor
(17 syllables, 5-7-5)
I'll go first:
Bin Laden smiling
He hears a noise above
Pretty mushroom cloud
But Justice is called for now
Terminate vermin
Original or Crispy?
We stop at nothing
Osama bin Laden runs
From six-thousand ghosts.
The white turban falls
Like snow on crimson roses
Covers oozing blood.
(You see, vengeance can be expressed with beauty, elegance, and grace!)
Provocation by
Osama bin Laden will
Not go unansweredOur response will be
Sent very shortly, coming
By B-52Our million dollar
Missiles will not be flattening
Some ten dollar tentsInstead, we will take
The fight directly to you
And finish this nowNukes are not needed
Lesser weapons will suffice
Like some fuel-air bombsAnd when we are done
You're next, Saddam -- start looking
For a successor
Leaping before he had looked
Hears a noise--brown pants
I do not like Osama Bin.
I do not like his ilk therein.
I do not like him on a boat
I do not like him with his goat.
I do not like him in our planes.
I do not like him in our trains.
I do not like him, Osama Bin
I do not like his bearded chin.
He will not make us fear the night.
He will not beat us in this fight.
He will not break our land of the free.
He will not take our liberty.
We do not like you, Osama Bin
We do not like your wrath of sin.
We will get rid of you and your kind.
We will get rid of your evil mind.
We will save the world from people like you.
We will scrape your remains
from the bottom of our shoes.
We do not like you, Osama Bin.
We do not like your ilk, therein.
