Have you seen the short spots of FoxNews with music? Proud to be an American, Together We Stand, Battle Hymn of the Republic, God Bless America?
They are great! Music touches everyone's heart.....and the visuals do too.

Does anyone have a sound file to accompany this, an MP3 mayhaps?

Just a thought I have some truble singing "Shall be never left behind" how about instead of....
We vow our fallen heroes shall be never left behind
the line....
These villains hate the freedom that is rightly yours and mine
How do you think it sounds?
The commitment of our fathers is the calling of our time
These villains hate the freedom that is rightly yours and mine
With the pounding of our march and the thunder of our song.... we go marching on!

Yes...Operation: Let's Roll is very appropriate.Has a good ring to it, and, honor that man who maybe saved the Capitol Bldg or the White House.

The best ones would probably be inappropriate for the polite FR audience though! heheheh

BTTT. As a kid in the '50's, we learned this in public school. This and Dixie still ring tears to my eyes.

The brave Australians quickly swore they'd join us in the ranks; Yes Canada and Britain said "We'll both stand by the Yanks!" <<
So yankees are ALL Americans again? Better inform the freepers down in the Dixie. Haven posted on this forum for over a year, you'll noticed ANYONE that they DISLIKE is repeatedly called a "yankee". They don't seem to be aware that they themselves ARE southern yankees (unless they decide to revoke their American citzenship in the near future). ;-)
Remember, southrons, 'yankees' were the ones who overthrew british tyrancy and created this country in the first place.

Interesting point, but you'll see the song is quoting folks from the Commonwealth, who universally refer to anyone from the U.S. as "Yanks."

I learned "Battle Hymn of the Republic" in elementary school in the '70's but they didn't teach us Dixie in New York. :). I don't think they sing songs that mention God anymore. "glory glory hallelujah, the teacher hit me with a ruler" were the preferred chorus.

I went down to Baltimore with a friend last night to catch his cousin's band. There wasn't much of a crowd there, in fact the whole city was a ghost town. I noticed that during one of the songs, the singer was looking at a piece of paper taped to his mic stand, obviously reading lyrics he was unfamiliar with.
After the set, he told me that they had revamped the lyrics of that song earlier in the week in response to Tuesday's attacks. He let me read the lyrics he was reading from. I liked them, so he let me keep them.
This is not a rendition of the Battle Hymn, but I think it's worth posting. I think it should be "colorful" enough for you.:)
This is the game
I place the blame
You take the heat, until you give up
I'm a persistant pr*ck
I'm gonna make you sick
And put it in your head to make you give up
In case you don't see, it wasn't meant to be
Get on your knees now listen
I'm gonna watch you go
You don't deserve to live
You f*ckrd up everything that I had
This is the night
We show our might
Did you really think that you could hurt us?
Come out and face me now
You gutless f*cking coward
And taste the blood we spill from your brothers
No guilt or shame, just pride
Laugh as we watch you try
To put out the flames on your back
I couldn't give a sh*t
About you nazi f*cks
I want your cities turned into glass
This is the fate
A crying shame
They finally got their jaws on our minds
Until it all comes down
Just for some stupid sh*t
It hardly seems that we have a choice
But sonny, show no fear
Break out the guns and gear
Fire back and watch it all burn
What doesn't kill us now
Can only make us strong
There's a bit more written, but the hand writing is illegible. The song is called "Lollipops&Guns". I can't remember the band's name.

Yes, it does have sort of a nice lyricism to it, doesn't it?
