To: American Soldier
I went down to Baltimore with a friend last night to catch his cousin's band. There wasn't much of a crowd there, in fact the whole city was a ghost town. I noticed that during one of the songs, the singer was looking at a piece of paper taped to his mic stand, obviously reading lyrics he was unfamiliar with.

After the set, he told me that they had revamped the lyrics of that song earlier in the week in response to Tuesday's attacks. He let me read the lyrics he was reading from. I liked them, so he let me keep them.

This is not a rendition of the Battle Hymn, but I think it's worth posting. I think it should be "colorful" enough for you.:)

This is the game
I place the blame
You take the heat, until you give up
I'm a persistant pr*ck
I'm gonna make you sick
And put it in your head to make you give up
In case you don't see, it wasn't meant to be
Get on your knees now listen
I'm gonna watch you go
You don't deserve to live
You f*ckrd up everything that I had

This is the night
We show our might
Did you really think that you could hurt us?
Come out and face me now
You gutless f*cking coward
And taste the blood we spill from your brothers
No guilt or shame, just pride
Laugh as we watch you try
To put out the flames on your back
I couldn't give a sh*t
About you nazi f*cks
I want your cities turned into glass

This is the fate
A crying shame
They finally got their jaws on our minds
Until it all comes down
Just for some stupid sh*t
It hardly seems that we have a choice
But sonny, show no fear
Break out the guns and gear
Fire back and watch it all burn
What doesn't kill us now
Can only make us strong

There's a bit more written, but the hand writing is illegible. The song is called "Lollipops&Guns". I can't remember the band's name.

Yes, it does have sort of a nice lyricism to it, doesn't it?
