Can you say VETO? Sure, I knew you could. I like the way you say it!

The Founders knew a thing or two.

Never Give Up

Never Surrender

George Washington lost many battles, and in the end, things turned out okay.

I think a lot of Freepers are going to be disappointed in how few bills Trump is actually going to veto.

If it was just the Democrats winning and having a good night, I could deal with it.

I also could have delt with Paxton losing in Texas, because of the special circumstances there.

BUT, what I am having a hard time with is the complete wipeout in Texas (not just Paxton). And by HUGE margins.

If those voters decide to stay with the Democrats (for whatever reason) Texas is lost, and as goes Texas so goes the US in my opinion.

They’re going to hide all of their agenda items in omnibus bills that Trump will be forced to sign. I don’t think he’ll veto a spending bill to fund the military, and they’ll sneak in all sorts of goodies. It’s going to be an ugly couple of years on Capitol Hill.

I think Texas stays purple now unless they manage to get all mail in voting like they did on the left coast.

Yet conservative amendments and referendums won in spades. A wise man once advised that real conservatism wins every time.

Select men of character and run on real conservative values and watch the switch. They didn't, they ran bad candidates and got bad results compounded by the GOP not doing what the voters put them in office to do in 2024. Maybe next time.

You know he’s not going to veto any budget bills and that’d really be his only leverage on them.

We’re back to Trump vs. the Left...

...and the Left is outnumbered...

Should be fun to watch...

Texas stays purple

As more leave California, it'll get bluer.

Question is, will enough leave to make California susceptible to going red?

California is locked in blue. They have more anchor babies and illegals than Texas.

By abrogating so much federal law, California has effectively resigned from the Union.

California must lose statehood and become a territory like Puerto Rico

“Can you say VETO? Sure, I knew you could. I like the way you say it!”

___________________________________________________________

I’m sure Trump will use the veto, but even lame duck presidents need legislation for things like defense funding, etc. Getting any of those through Congress will require negotiation and acceptance of what’s possible, not necessarily what we or Trump may want.

After the message voters sent yesterday, I’m not at all confident we can prevent 13-20 Senators to peel off and override a veto. Senators coming up for reelection in two years can read election returns, and don’t want a repeat of last night.

....Texas is lost, and as goes Texas so goes the US.....

I hear you. Definitely scary times. Even the races we won in other states (Florida etc) were by slim margins. It looks like years of indoctrinating in public schools is final giving dems the rewards they desire. I dont mean to sound doom and gloom but, I dont know how we fight our way out of this mess.

If Trump still thinks he can play “Art of the Deal” with Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, then he won’t veto anything.

If he has finally grown up and realized that you can’t make deals with people who want to kill you, your family, your colleagues, and everybody associated with you ...

And that’s exactly what the democRATs want to do ...

Then maybe we might get a few vetoes.

Everyone celebrates the businesses moving from the coasts to Texas. They brought their coastal employees with them. Every day I hear some coastal parasite that’s moving to Nashville. Yee Haww Ya’ll.

All three of the clowns you named are from New York City.

I would not be surprised if Trump goes down in the record books for signing the first $10 trillion spending package in U.S. history … and it will be loaded with massive taxpayer subsidies for every industry sector in existence.

If you don’t believe that, just ask yourself why Wall Street has had a banner day today.

Well, Biden supposedly got 81 million votes in 2020. I don’t know why people would assume that this is not more of the same.

Hopefully, there was some “election” monitoring going on.

why Wall Street has had a banner day today.

The NYSE (and the rest of the exchanges) is run like a bunch of schizophrenic rabbits ... Trying to make sense out of what "Wall Street" "did" on any given day is a fool's errand.

As for Trump letting Congress spend like a drunken sailor ... that's an easy prediction. He has a history of doing that.

Apologies to drunken sailors, who at least have the decency to invest their own money in hookers and booze.

I’ll become interested or engaged when he VETOs a must pass bill that was worked out through weeks of negotiations between the Senators. If he VETOS a messaging bill I won’t care.

Govenorship being handed to the Democrats is insane. No price of gas is worth that. It’ll come back via Rent Controls, Property Taxes and Sales Taxes.
