Zelensky Ready for Immediate Peace Deal, Expresses Regret Over US Aid

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an interview broadcast on ABC News that Ukraine is prepared to conclude a peace agreement with the Russia immediately if achievable, while expressing regret over the contraction of US military assistance.

Speaking in the interview, the president confirmed that Kyiv is prepared to halt hostilities as quickly as possible, reiterating Ukraine’s readiness to freeze combat operations along the existing line of contact.

Zelensky clarified that while Russian forces currently occupy over 19 percent of Ukrainian territory in the Donbas, Kyiv is unwilling to cede additional land to secure an end to the war.

Addressing the state of bilateral relations with Washington, Zelensky stated that while he does not feel betrayed by the US, he regrets the decline in American defense support.

“I feel what I feel. This is not support,” Zelensky remarked regarding the reduced flow of military supplies.

Ukraine has in the past agreed to EVERY proposed ceasefire, which Putin turned down, so actually nothing has changed.

Zelensky addressed his own diplomatic style, explaining that defending Ukraine’s sovereign interests during wartime requires an unyielding posture rather than diplomatic deference.

“There cannot be a weak president in Ukraine right now,” Zelensky stated. “Of course, I am an ordinary person, I’m just human, though perhaps not such a great ‘humanist’ as Putin, of course.”

“As between friends, as in a family, you have to be honest, not play games. I don’t play games with Trump. That is my difference from Putin. I don’t play any games with him. I am direct, honest,” Zelensky said

Despite the munition deficit, Zelensky emphasized that he remains grateful to the US for its strategic partnership in countering Russian aggression.

I would contend that the only reason that “Ukraine is prepared to conclude a peace agreement with the Russia immediately” is BECAUSE of the “contraction of US military assistance” (AKA money).

Comrade Vlad has generously over and over offered the olive branch of peace to liar Zelensky who broke every deal made. Ukraine needs to ELECT a new president instead of the tyrant Zelensky. Then peace can finally evolve.

That's gotta be sarcasm, because nobody can be so dumb, so clueless.

The only “olive branch” that Putin has offered is complete Ukrainian surrender.

In other words-surrender.

I can see where it has a bad effect on the rest of Europe as we’re not all in to their satisfaction. They’ve never been united on anything throughout their history and now they’ve had the US as a beacon they never seem to learn. No help against Iran as the muslims take over. The Marshall Plan mighta been a mistake.

Believe it or not, Zelensky is not directly fighting Putin. But, the Ukrainian military is fighting the Russian military, and Russia is ON THE ROPES, militarily; not only inside Ukraine, but inside Russia itself. Ukraine has air control over all of Russia and Russia can't prevent Ukrainian strikes against its resources.

Psychologists have declared there is a upper limit to our intelligence level but have not seen a limit to how dumb we can be.

The U.S. Congress has made available $196.4 billion in total appropriations related to the war in Ukraine and Operation Atlantic Resolve. Official data tracked by the U.S. Ukraine Oversight Group shows the following breakdown of how those tax dollars have traveled through the system:
• Total Appropriated: $196.4 billion
• Total Obligated (legally committed to contracts/packages): $180.9 billion
• Total Disbursed (actually paid out of the U.S. Treasury): $121.2 billion

Where the Money Goes
• U.S. Defense Manufacturing: Roughly $68 billion of the spending is allocated directly to U.S. factories and workers to produce new weapons. This money is used to fulfill new contracts or replenish the stockpiles of the U.S. military after older gear is sent abroad.
• Direct Aid to Ukraine: Around $127 billion has directly supported Ukraine’s defense, humanitarian needs, and economy, according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
• European Security: The remainder goes toward funding the expanded U.S. military presence and troop support across NATO countries in Europe.

Allocation by Category-——Historically, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Department of Defense route the funds into three primary categories:
• Military & Security (approx. 71%): Weapons systems (like Patriot missiles, HIMARS, and Bradley vehicles), tactical training, and intelligence sharing.
• Govt & Economic Support (approx. 24%): Stabilizing Ukraine’s wartime economy by funding small business subsidies
• US tax dollars paying salaries of roughly 57,000 first responders and emergency workers.
• Humanitarian Aid (approx. 2% to 4%): Food assistance, clean water, refugee resettlement, and clearing unexploded ammunition from land and rivers.

Note: In late 2024, the U.S. also authorized an additional $20 billion loan via the World Bank that is backed and repaid entirely by the interest generated from frozen Russian assets, meaning it does not add to the net U.S. taxpayer burden.

And today we learn Ukraine’s sate owned bank is being prepared to be sold off to the globalists. First the land was sold to foreign corporations, then the elimination of millions of Ukrainians. Now the banks.

Get back on your meds. Or maybe you thought the sarcasm was so thick you didn’t need the “/sarc” tag. I hope it’s the latter.

“while he does not feel betrayed by the US, he regrets the decline in American defense support.”

I know there’s a lot of ukraine supporters around here. But I am not one of them. I have long seen them as a money laundering scheme for the democrats. Once the money stops flowing the support dwindles. For me it’s like if china was funding an armed revolt of a separatist california with Gavin Newsom as it’s ‘el presidente’. And obama is at the root of it for allowing the Chrimea to be taken to begin with. Quipping about how 1980’s the russian threat was. I think he saw crime and thought, “Oh that’s for me!” As far as i’m concerned zelinsky is just as bad as putin.

The ukraine war is an obama era mistake and there’s no reason we should still be paying for it. If the europeans want to stir that around with a stick then let them pay for it.
