CNN's Cornish Knocks Hegseth for Not Joining the Hasan Firing Squad

Guess what, Audie? President Obama was not on the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Truman was not aboard the Enola Gay. Ordering something and carrying it out are different jobs. But on Friday's CNN This Morning, host Audie Cornish held Pete Hegseth to a different standard.
The setup was Jonah Goldberg criticizing the way Hegseth had announced the public firing squad execution of Nidal Hasan, the Islamist terrorist who murdered 13 soldiers at Fort Hood: "Secretary Chesty McBroseph is just trying to show off how macho he is; a max-T thing."
Cornish then took her shot at Hegseth. "And he won't be doing it. He's going to draw from the pool. What soldiers are going to be signed up for this?"
Translation: If Hegseth's so macho, why isn't he pulling the trigger?

Just like Obama was on the Osama Bin Laden raid, Audie?

The “News” business is just Democrat activists. And not very bright ones either.

this is a pretty weak attack on the libs part. Note that the libs and politicians have not come out against the execution.

Don’t put it beyond expectations that the SecWar will not take up the challenge and put a bullet into the barbarian Hasan.

I have no doubt Hegseth would do it if asked by authority.
As a door-kicker in a war zone on the kind of people who shared Hasan’s proclivity and views but without the kicker of treason, he doesn’t come across as someone who would be squeamish about it.
If I were asked by authority, I would do it without question. I might not take joy in it, but I surely would do it.
I suspect Hegseth would as well, and might not have even the low level of reticence that I might harbor.

I think Hegseth being a shooter here would be pretty cool. Maybe do it secretly?

Ha. It was “take a number” and hers was too far back in the line. Went into the world’s third oldest profession, journalism. Politics was second.

The War Department could get funded quickly if they opened the firing squad to Americans bidding for the chance. Either a lottery or just highest bid wins. So many wish for a chance to get justice for once.

I’m long retired but I’d do it if asked. Trash has to be taken care of and I’d have no problem doing my duty once again.

Hegseth should do it and state that is what CNN wanted.

Libs enjoyed and celebrated watching Charlie Kirk being assassinated on Live TV, yet they have an issue with Hasan getting whats coming to him

I bet Pete could pull rank and put himself in the mix as a rifleman.
He should Tweet out: Challenge accepted.

Ha. It was “take a number” and hers was too far back in the line.
I remember when Harvey Weinstein’s ‘shenanigans’ first came to light one criticism of him was that he wasn’t taking black actresses to the casting couch. Could Clinton be guilty of the same offense?
