Sick: Pro-Hamas Protesters Rage Across NYC, Surround Israelis for Peace Vigil Commemorating October 7 at Union Square

It’s been three years since the savage Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas terror attacks, which killed 1,200 people, often in barbaric, inhuman ways.

As we reported, Democratic Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani celebrated the occasion by firing off an incendiary statement accusing Israel of committing war crimes and genocide in Gaza. (See: Morally Bankrupt Mamdani Spits on October 7 Victims to Demonize Israel.)

If he wanted to stoke a response, he succeeded, because anti-Israel, pro-Hamas protests broke out throughout the Big Apple Wednesday. Not surprisingly, Columbia University and NYU once again played their part in the twisted response to the anniversary of a slaughter:

Anti-Israel protesters turned out by the hundreds across New York City during the third anniversary of Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack Wednesday — with students at NYU and Columbia University calling to “keep the intifada alive” and proclaiming “resistance is justified.”

More than 100 people gathered at Washington Square Park for the latest demonstration of the New York University Students for Justice in Palestine’s “Rage Week” aimed at condemning the Israel-Gaza war.

The demonstrators — wearing keffiyehs and holding banners calling for NYU to “divest” and shutter its Tel Aviv campus — were heard chanting, “Long live the intifada” and “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” a common rally cry implying the erasure of the Jewish state.

The terrorist supporters continued into the evening, as a group of protesters surrounded a vigil hosted by Israelis for Peace. Some were even holding up posters of Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas Oct. 7 mastermind who Israel eliminated in October 2024.

Even Mamdani came under fire — apparently he’s not extreme enough for some of these zealots.

BREAKING VIDEO: New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani arrives at October 7th anniversary event in Union Square Park, hosted by Israelis For Peace, amid large anti-Israel protest which is surrounding the much smaller vigil. Some chants by anti-Israel protesters: “Long live Hamas.” “Zohran you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide.” “Long live the intifada.”— Breaking 4 News (@Breaking_4_News) October 7, 2026

If you ever want to know what happened to so many of our universities, it’s because they hire guys like this. He spoke to the Washington Square Park crowd:

Andrew Ross, a professor at NYU’s American Studies program and part of Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine, justified Hamas’ bloody invasion on Oct. 7, 2023, as a military tactic whose primary purpose was to acquire hostages to free Palestinians held in Israeli jails.

While Ross called the day “very tragic,” he went on to spread a conspiracy theory that the Israel Defense Forces killed some of its own citizens during the massacre — in which nearly 1,200 people, including more than 800 civilians, were slaughtered, with many victims also suffering torture and rape at the hands of Hamas fighters.

“On Oct. 7, a mass Hannibal Directive was issued, and for the first time, it applied to civilians, Israeli civilians, and as a result, an untold number of them died at the hands of being targeted by IDF forces in vehicles that were being taken back to Gaza,” Ross claimed as he addressed the crowd.

This isn’t his first time at the rodeo:

Meet NYU Sociology Prof. Andrew Ross. Ross was arrested this week for blocking access to an NYU library to protest for Gaza. Ross has for years been a radical anti-Israel activist and openly calls for the eradication of the State of Israel. This is who is teaching your kids. https://t.co/Ig0iPU8ilL— Shelley G (@ShelleyGldschmt) December 14, 2024

It’s hard to wrap the mind around the atrocities committed three years ago, much less celebrations of it occurring on the anniversary. A mental sickness is spreading, and it needs to be stomped out.

This is a result of mass immigration which a (((supermajority))) of NY residents overwhelmingly supported.

Why Students for Justice in Palestine is Celebrating October 7.
The pro-Hamas organization again brings shame on our nation’s universities.

Tal Fortgang. Oct 07 2026

Across the country, Students for Justice in Palestine chapters are today commemorating the massacres of October 7, 2023. More precisely, they will gather to commemorate the lives lost among the perpetrators of the massacre—the Hamas terrorists and other Gazans who invaded Israel to rape, torture, and murder men, women, and children. They will mourn the fact that Hamas failed to achieve its goal of destroying Israel while celebrating the effort to do so.

If SJP—an umbrella group for hundreds of anti-Israel student organizations across “Turtle Island (so-called North America)”—ever intended to hide its conviction that murdering Israelis is an affirmative good, it has stopped pretending. For all the posturing about Palestinian victimhood and indignant accusations over Israel’s conduct of the war, these self-styled champions of the Palestinians aren’t mourning the atrocities that invited Israel’s retaliation. They are celebrating them.
[...]
By now, it should be evident that these groups are not antiwar or antiviolence. Nor are they even meaningfully pro-Palestinian. When they reflect on the tens of thousands of Palestinians who have died because of Hamas’s cowardice, they do so in celebration. Theirs is a pro-war, anti-Israel stance: murder is good if the victim is, say, an Israeli baby.

These are, in short, extremist organizations. Yet, scandalously, Western media provided public relations for SJP and its ilk during the encampment fiascos of recent years, recasting these groups as protesters for peace....

I can not understand why people who advocate for murder are allowed to continue living here. Deport them to Gaza.

C’mon, man! These rhyming protest chants of theirs are nothing but cheap knock-offs from what I used to hear as a kid growing up in the late ‘60s. They sucked back then and they suck even more now.
