The end of an illustrious career.
I used to go along with that saying not to bring a knife to a gunfight but having seen about a dozen horror movies recently with gouges, slashes and severed body parts from blades I have respect for them.
Is it really that hard to notify prisoners in the state pen these days?
Joke: When someone wanted his father's cell number it had nothing to do with phones.
Eleven felony convictions. The guy shouldn’t have been walking the streets. We can blame this death on the judges that kept giving him little to no punishment for his crimes.
“The Brief A man died Friday after being shot by a Pasco County deputy...”
It’s about time!
DRT. Some people need to be permanently deactivated.
Yes, his mental illness and the mental illness of the judges that let him continue his crime spree.

Don’t know about the judges, but he clearly needed his ticket punched a long time ago.
I saw an inmate in KSP Lansing slash an officer. using an Exacto knife 5/8 in. blade twice and the officer needed 500 stiches, no more leatherwork in the cells,
I live here now.
I support cops.. watch OPL every weekend.
When I first saw this video, two days ago... my first thought was: Why shoot him? He was not an immediate threat to ANYONE. He wasn’t close enough to ANY PERSON to stab them.
I fear, this cop’s career is going to take a hit.
I agree... this perp should NEVER be on the street. But, deadly force should only be used when people are threatened.
In this case, there was ZERO imminent threat.
Gruesome. That job is not for sissies.
look up the “Tueller Drill” If some one is within 21 ft of you with a knife, THEY ARE A DEADLY THREAT. Tueller drill shows a man of average condition against a person with average reaction time can close with, and stick the knife into you BEFORE you can disable them. Unless you can place the bullets into the brain or spine, they will continue to function long enough to KILL you/
The perspective of the wide-angle lens of the cop's bodycam makes it hard to determine distance, but wide angle lenses make objects seem further away than they really are.

Why Knife (or Contact-Weapon) Suspects Are More Dangerous Than They Appear
People commonly underestimate edged or blunt weapons for several reasons illustrated by the Tueller principle and related training:
+1
There is a blond guy in that area who is a complete nutter ⌠came up to an elder couple at my church and threatened them , very profane and in your face.
Church security called the cops, came out and he backed down a bit so they got the couple to safety.
He is a bomb waiting to go off.
Wonder if it is him, cops know him very well, he rides a bike. Pasco never seems to do anything about the nutcases and the nutters know it, when they commit a crime they run strait to their psych doc and I guess that is a get out of jail free card. Cops donât even like to write reports on them and donât help the victims press charges, I guess they know itâs a waste of time.
Look up the 21 foot rule for self- defense.
The guy needs to read a little bit about self-defense from Mossad Ayoob. IMO. Regards
