A series of open miracles on the flydubai flight that very nearly went down with a plane full of passengers.
Miracle 1: A plane full of people survived an attempt by the copilot to crash their aircraft. Passengers and crew broke into the cockpit and subdued the attacker after he stabbed the captain.
Miracle 2: Two off-duty flydubai pilots happened to be on board. They took control of the plunging aircraft and landed it safely.
Miracle 3: The plane plummeted and spun out of control - spiraling some 17,000 feet. It ultimately touched down with a chunk of its rudder missing.
Miracle 4: They landed in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has no diplomatic relations with Israel. Yet when an aircraft carrying Israelis was in mortal danger, Saudi Arabia became their refuge. Saudi authorities received them, kept them safe, and got them onto a replacement aircraft that flew them directly from Saudi soil to Tel Aviv. If a portion of the rudder was missing if the report is correct which I doubt it went supersonic in the dive. If a piece of the rudder was missing no rational pilot would then continued the flight to Tel-Aiv after landing in Saudi.
Someone is full of lies or just simply malignant stupidity.
The stabbed pilot was identified as Indian national Captain Smit Machchhar, who was said to have made the emergency call and opened the door to the cockpit, allowing others to rush in and subdue the attacker.
The name tells me he was Hindu.

They didn’t have to break into the cockpit. Actually the first miracle was that the captain was able to reach back and UNLOCK/OPEN THE COCKPIT DOOR.
They used a different plane after the emergency landing.
The didn’t break into the cockpit. I heard the injured pilot opened the door.
Oman is majority Sunni, but 5% Shia. Place your bets on Shia. I lived and worked in Oman in the late 70s. It was very pro-western but was trying bridge to itself between Shia Iran and their Sunni of Oman and it worked. They killed the Shia that invaded Oman from the South from Yemen. It was that damn simple. It was one of the most vicious and cruel wars that no knows about. The good guys won.
They are really pro-western but will not say so in public.

If I understood my first and then second reading of the posted information, the Saudi provided them with an alternate plane to travel to Tel Aviv.

‘The relief pilots are European, one of them British, who entered [the cockpit] and pulled the aircraft up, pulled the yoke, stabilised the plane and landed us in Saudi Arabia.’”
There is propaganda being circulated that the extra pilots were russian and ukrainian.... which is fake news
